WARNING… DO NOT, I REPEAT, DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. THEY ARE THIEVES AND UNTRUTHFUL. I CANNOT EXPRESS ANY MORE FOR YOU TO STAY AWAY. You will open yourself to grief and helplessness, because they will take your check with the reassurance it won’t be cashed until the material is in. In my case, the check was presented for payment after a month and no material was received. The project was for brick pavers for a 2 car driveway. After 2 months, upon inquiring about the delay, I was told I was being aggressive. After another month, I called to inquire and I was told, “they are still waiting on the permit” when in fact the delay was because the city would request additional information from them and it was ignored until we brought it to their attention. After 4 months the permit was eventually granted. When I asked for a start date, Barbara said she would only communicate with me via email because I was “aggressive”. I finally asked Barbara to define aggressive, because I couldn’t understand. She couldn’t. At this point I decided to not patronize Install Brick Pavers ($13,000) who will not communicate with me except by email. I cancelled the contract and asked for a refund of the deposit of $3,075. (the check which was fraudulently cashed). I understood that per the contract I might forfeit a $350 cancellation fee and the cost of the permit. A refund check in the amount of $2,460.75 was issued to me with a letter explaining that an adjustment of $614 was made for the cost of the permit. This would have been somewhat acceptable if the permit wasn’t voided. Yes, the Install Brick Pavers contacted the city and voided the permit, the permit I paid for. Barbara lacks the ability to differentiate the various personalities she encounters. I certainly was not disrespectful in any way, but I was lumped in with her everyday experiences. I hope the city will see its mistake in canceling the permit since a fee was collected and they reinstate it.
