  We called a few weeks ago to get information on a post-estate sale clean up. They told us to send pictures and they sent us a quote for $1300-1500 and assured me after the sale I could send new pictures for an updated quote. We sent in the new pictures and received a quote for $395-475. Drivers showed up over 5 hours late (the original work order was lost and they said they would get us in today). We picked the company because their website stated they would donate usable items. They showed up in a open top dumpster truck and tried to tell us it would be $1800 because we had over 2 trucks of items. There was no way. I called and they said they could do a single truck load for $780! Double my quote. I called again and they agreed to honor the $475 quote but would only fill the truck, so basically they would only take what would fit. So we decided not to have them take the furniture pieces and they cleaned out the garage and the inside of the house of the smaller items. They swore it would be more than a truck load, but it all fit. To add insult to injury their driver began aggressively throwing out all of the kitchen items. I could hear glass shattering as they threw things into black bags. There was art work that ended up shattered in the truck because they threw scrap wood on top. Basically everything that could have been donated was broken and trashed. When I spoke with the owner he apologized and swore this wasn't how they did business. We booked this service to clean out my parents house. My father passed away and my mother is having to downsize. Parting with her things was hard enough, but to listen to a couple guys trash the things my dad worked hard to buy for them was horrifying. I felt like it was a bait and switch and even said to the drivers "I don't know what scam you're trying to run here, but that quote is unacceptable. Even higher than the original quote that included a full house of things!"
