  Right eye was operated on in October..no problem. Left eye in November and absolutely horrible result's so far. Very blurry, feels like something is going to fallout.. extremely dry.. outrageous amount of money spent on dry eye tear's. I feel certain that the wrong lens has been placed in my left eye. A lot of confusion in the operating area at the time of surgery..not like the first time at all. I keep being told that it's still healing.. extremely blurry..I look to my left or bend my head down and I actually see something in the left part of my left eye. A in lot of drainage at night..I wake up and gave to carefully wash my left eye in order to even see and open the left eye properly. My next appointment isn't until the last of December. No idea what I will be told. I just know that if something wasn't done properly, I will live with that..no more procedure on my eye to fix a mistake. I have researched that and it's NOT recommended. Praying for the best. Mary ****

  I had the pleasure of experiencing the excellence of Mcgruder Laser Vision’s service and it was absolutely outstanding. From my initial interaction with Anna, Dr. Hunter, and the welcoming staff, they are truly 5-Stars hands down! Clean office, high tech equipment, and everyone is very knowledgeable to level of expertise. Well done Dr. Hunter and Dr. Magruder with your ensemble practice.

  I waited 10 months to write this review, to keep it as objective as possible and give my eyes ample time to heal. My experience unfortunately wasn't amazing. I got the SMILE procedure done, since it seemed to be the less risky option. Pretty immediately after my surgery my right eye was seeing perfectly, but my left eye was hazy. Upon further examination by the surgeon, there was build up in my eye at the site of the surgery, presumably from not being cleaned correctly during the procedure. This is not a common occurrence for SMILE. Exactly 7 days after my procedure, I had to go back and have another procedure done where they went back through the original incision and irrigated the area, and scraped out the build up. This proved to be traumatic for my eye, as I have since been suffering from severe dry eye In that particular eye for that last 10 months. I have spent thousands of dollars on artificial tear, appointments, procedures like MiboFlow and prescription drops like Xiidra and Restasis. Nothing has brought me any relief and my quality of life has plummeted due to the dry eye. Another issue I had was that I never saw clearly out of my left eye, and all of the doctors kept assuring me that it was just the dry eye causing this but I knew this wasn't the case, it felt off. After many consecutive visits to the Dr Phillips office, I finally decided to take a picture representation of what my left eye was seeing like, and they finally checked my vision to discover that my left eye was overcorrected, and has astigmatism. Something I never had prior to the surgery, I was just myopic. Overall, not the best experience. I think that I was one of the unfortunate, rare few to not have a great experience here. Hopefully everyone else continues to have good experiences. I do want to take a moment to acknowledge Sunnie who was always a pleasure during my visits, and Barb as well.
