I purchased a brand new manufactured home in September 2024. There have been several issues with the trailer, from leaking roof to the water heater pipes being installed improperly. I hired a second company to do an independent inspection, where many additional issues were found & areas of the property were painted or patched in order to hide the damage. I sent the inspection to the seller, my lender and the realtor. I met with the seller and discussed the needed repairs, he said he would fix it. I also reached out to the manufacturer, since it's a brand new home, I am under warranty for one full year. The seller and the builder have now been ignoring my calls and texts. The manufacturer has also not responded to my emails. I reached out to an attorney to help me get the repairs completed and to determine if I have any other recourse on this matter.

The business has agreed to pay for the cost of repairs to the roof, the plumbing and painting for the issues caused by the roof leak, I am awaiting the payment right now.

I attempted settlement with the company, Hugo ****** He stated that he would Zelle the money for roof repairs, paint and plumbing repair. After I sent him the quote he said he would send the money then ignored me. After he lied about sending me the money to repair the damage, I spoke to the legal representative about the situation. They advised me that I should inspect the areas with water damage as there could be dangerous mold in the areas in the walls that the builder would have to remove. I have completed the roof repair out of my pocket. I completed the inspection out of my own pocket and am scheduling an air quality inspection ****. This company has been completely false about the warranty and they covered up issues in the home - they did not disclose the issues and have not been responsive when trying to receive funds. I want to settle this, but the company is not responding and are refusing to complete any repairs.

I have now discovered that the builder or seller had a leak in the house, prior to my purchase - the 2 rooms that show previous water damage are the only rooms in the house that have been painted and the floors have been updated - in an attempt to cover up the proof of damage/leak.

Today, I had a mold inspection conducted and they found visible water damage and mold in the panels, walls and beneath the floor joists of the house. I was informed that the leak was most likely from a few months ago and that the mold had been growing since before I purchased. I moved in on September 20, 2024 - I haven't even lived here for a full month yet. The technician Estimated repairs could cost around $10000. I am waiting for the mold remediation company to send me the inspection report, lab results from air testing and the formal quote for repair.

I sent a message to the builder and the seller about the issues found - the builder has refused to speak with me and the seller has informed me that he has an attorney and refuses to speak to me as well. I can't afford an attorney, I reached out to community legal services who have offered to assist me with sending a demand letter to the construction company for repairs.

Please see the attached letter for the warranty, inspection, roof repair quote as soon as I receive the mold remediation information I will submit that as well.
