  We had a great experience with 1776 Jimmy worked with me on the quote and date and then we had two trucks and 4 movers - James, David, Willy and Dylan. They were friendly on time and very efficient. I would use them again and highly recommend them!

  Our experience with 1776 Movers started out well but ended up being a financial disaster. We were moving from Central Florida to Central Virginia in Fall 2024. Cameron, who told us he had 12 years of estimating moves, spent time going through everything in our house - all the furniture and other goods. We opened every cupboard so he could see what was in them. We told him we would pack all the non-breakable goods, and wanted them to pack all the breakable goods. After that we sold a number of heavy goods (examples: a backyard grill, a firepit, a heavy glass display cabinet.) Our move took place in two stages - first a move into their storage warehouse for three months. Once our goods were in storage, we were informed that they would not deliver them to us in Virginia (the second stage) because they had underestimated the weight. We would owe them ALMOST DOUBLE their estimate. (Original estimate was $5494. Eventual total we paid was $10,118.) Unless we agreed to the new amount, they would not deliver our goods to our new home. A much smaller problem, but still worth mentioning is that they promised delivery on one date, confirmed it the day before. But then they didn't show up. When we called, they told us they were delayed and would deliver a day later. (So why did they confirm the delivery, and why didn't they call us to let us know about the delay?)

  I want to complain about CAM a supervisor there who told me I had a job there and even gave me a shirt but every time I call for my schedule he kept pushing it to the next week. Well after several weeks of waiting to start work, and trying to get CAM on his cell phone, my girlfriend called the main office and spoke with **** who said hes a manager. He told her I was never hired. This company is a sham! When he told her that it was like he didnt even care that I have been waiting to work for weeks. Said he will talk with ***, I havent heard back from him yet and that was weeks ago. This company needs to shut down and get new management!

  1776 was by far the BEST and reliable moving company I have ever worked with. They were right on target with their estimate of our move. David, Thomas and Stephan were the best ever movers. Took excellent care of my things and we had no breakage of anything. I HIGHLY recommend this company to anyone looking for movers. I cannot praise them enough. From the first phone call with Jaimie in the office to the actual moving day.

  They worked with us to get the scheduling exactly right, adjusted when we needed to, and the moving team that showed up was fantastic. They got the job done exactly as requested 2 hours faster than estimated. Highly recommend.

  Jaime, the lovely lady that helped me…a very old lady…with a stressful move. From the first conversation with her, my stress level was lowered a whole lot and she stepped in and took care of everything for me. The move itself was handled by a great team that were on time on each way end of the move and took great care of our “treasures” and exceeded my expectations. We had a long distance move from Florida to Michigan.

  It's the people that make a business. From the office staff to the drivers we had an excellent experience using 1776 for our move. The moving team treated our furniture as their own. Couldn't be happier!

  Our experience with 1776 movers was excellent. Scheduling the move was easy and the office staff was easily reached when we needed to reschedule the move. We were provided with good information on what to expect and received tips on what a person could do to make the move easier. The quote was all inclusive and any questions we had were fully answered. On the day of the move the movers contacted us with the arrival time and got to our house right on time. The 3 men, James, Marcus and Jerome took a look at the items we were going to move and them immediately got to work. They wrapped all the items that needed it, and packed us up quickly with no wasted time at all. They were polite and professional and handled our items carefully as if they were their own personal belongings. At the destination the truck was unloaded quickly with the items all arriving safely and undamaged. The level of service and work ethic was fantastic! We highly recommend this mover and these 3 gentlemen. We never believed that this high level of service from start to finish was still around. Thank you all to everyone at 1776 Moving!
