On May 16, I connected with *********************, the CEO of a newly started up company called Ink Admin. After seeing an ad on Instagram, I was interested. They claimed to be experts in onboarding and booking clients in the tattoo industry through social media managment, As well, they boasted working with the greats and artists from Ink Master, and specializing in sales within the industry. Seeing as though I am a successful figure in the industry, and am looking to expand, I decided to purchase the service. I sent over $2,500 as the start up fee. They guaranteed that at a bare minimum, I would be making enough to cover their monthly fee of $2,000. They reviewed my prices and quality of art and happily took me as a client. The interesting part is that within the month, they only booked a single client, whom never even showed up to the studio. Roughly a week after they began communicating with the prospects, I spotted flaws in the pitch. I questioned it's effectiveness. We got on a meeting call. I was ensured that they would tweak there approach so I'd have more clients getting booked. That never happened, and I went the entirety of the month without any income or tattoos. When I couldn't handle the lose anymore, I reached out to *****, informing him that I wouldn't be renewing or paying another month. I requested half of the money back that I had put out seeing as though they didn't provide any value, or service. As a matter of fact, I lost about $25,000 by allowing them to manageand book clients. ********************* refused to acknowledge any wrong doing, and began berating me about the quality of tattoos and the prices. If he wasn't confident in my work or ability, why would he be confident in taking thousands of dollars from me? Why did he claim he would elevate my buisness and help take it to the next level? His conduct was bad buisness at best and a scam at worst.
