    I used this company (Roof Marines) on 12/16/17 for a full re-roof on my 2-story home after the impact of Hurricane ****. I paid $7200.00 for the entire work to be done. Fast forward 5 years later, after the impact of Hurricane ***, the roof experienced shingle damage causing water damage and leaking in the ceiling of my garage and living room. I contacted the company on 10/05/22 to discuss repairs based on their service agreement stating that we would have workmanship warranty for 10 years and lifetime manufacture warranty on the shingles as well as "completely watertight for a period of 10 years". Since 10/05/22, I have received empty promises of coming to my home to review the damages and course of action. I have made several attempts to make an appointment with ******* (in which he told me "yes" that he would appear) but ultimately did not. He has been unwilling and not cooperating with me by not picking up the phone and not abiding by this service contract. I have also sent ******* pictures and videos of the damage to my home, so he is well aware of the situation but refuses to help. I am extremely worried because we are still in hurricane season living in *******, so worse damage could happen in the near future if left unrepaired. My only hope and desire is that Roof Marines will honor their service agreement with me and repair my roof as soon as possible.

    Hello *****,

    I am writing this to update you on my complaint. The business Roof Marines has contacted me, but has not attempted to resolve the issue as of yet. The business owner ******* still gives me the run around when it comes to setting appointments and doesn't show up. He admits to fault of improper workmanship regarding the roof, so he acknowledges he has to repair the roof. I'm not sure what will happen next because he makes communication difficult, but I hope he responds to my BBB complaint. Thank you.

    ****************** did not perform the stucco and flashing work on this house as part of the scope of work. The work was carried out according to building codes (see Company Cam Gallery). The contract was only for the roof of the house; it did not include the interior or the flashing. The house had a camera system installed incorrectly: the installer of this system broke the stucco, which caused the leak. *************** was advised that the flashing and stucco needed to be replaced to prevent leaks, which she did not want to do, and it was made clear that this could cause leaks in the future. 

    ******* attended the service call and helped repair the exterior as a favor to the homeowner (see the warranty where it explains that he was not responsible for work not performed by Roof Marines), but the interior of the house was not repaired because it was not his responsibility.

    I am rejecting this response because:

    This response from Roof Marines took 8 months which is highly unprofessional. The image attached are also false claims from Roof Marines it was dated on 2017, the contract also attached is dated on 2018 which doesn't coincide with these claims at all. ****************** came to my dwelling in 2022 and refused to work with me and acted dismissive to my claims. He never worked on my house or attempted to fix it or engage with me to discuss the contract.

    The flashing was part of the initial roof installation so I don't know what lies this company is trying to get away with. The camera system was installed many years ago and has never caused any issues whatsoever. I have since got another company to fix the damages and they agreed that the issue was a workmanship problem as the flashing was never installed correctly in the first place. The flashing did not have the correct amount of nails in place to keep it from leaking. 

    All I wanted from the company was the decency to work together and get my roof fixed according to their warranty and I did not. This company should be put out of business because they are a bunch of crooks! I would never recommend them to anyone who wants a good roof installation. 

    do not want any more responses from this company and would like this case to be closed as I have gotten the roof repaired by another roof company, sold the house, and no longer live at this dwelling.
