I am contacting the BBB of FL on behalf of ****** **** ** ******** ***********s. Our condo association hired Mapp Well & Pump Company in order to repair our community sprinkler system. Paul, a representative from Mapp Well & Pump Company came out to inspect the sprinkler system and determined that the pump needed to be replaced. He provided us with the estimate for the repair, see attached, in the amount of $10570.00. We accepted his proposal, and he came out to the property and installed a new pump in March of 2023. Shortly after the installation of the new pump, around June/ July 2023, we continued to have problems with the sprinkler system. We contacted Mapp Well & Pump Company in order to point out the issues and rectify the situation. Despite numerous phone calls and email communications, we did not get a response from Mapp Well& Pump Company. The ****** **** condo community has since contacted the manufacturer of the pump to get the pump replaced under warranty, but we have yet to hear from Mapp Well Drilling. At this point we are seeking compensation for a refund or bill adjustment. We have given Mapp ample opportunity to rectify the situation, but without success.

I have been to the job site multiple times after the pump installation in order to rectify the situation. The association was informed that the pump was being overworked because of  a term called “short cycling “ which will cause a motor to trip the overload. We gave a quote to repair the previously installed cycle stop valve. We informed the maintenance person of other issues causing the pump to trip the overload. The well pump we installed is not the problem, it is the over cycling due to irrigation leaks and many others.I do want to help the association to get there complete system working correctly,

it is up to them to correct there other issues which is what most likely destroyed the previous pump.

I contracted this business to drill a new well in my property. The existing well was damage when the hurricane Ian passed Florida on September 28/29, 2022. It was a collateral damage so it was difficult to get the necessary assistance to drill a new well. The old one collapse and was not working. Finally I receive help from FEMA and another contractor get me in contact with MAPP Well Drilling. Mr. W**** Mapp came on March 6, 2023 and alked about the old well, not good, and about drilling a new well and the scope of work. Besides drilling the well and installing a new pump and a new pressurized tank with all pipes and fittings, the whole project included the installation of the filtration system for which I currently have some parts, one new filtration tank and another tank for the pellets and all associated materials to get it working for all use in the house including cooking. This last part of the work is the one missing. The well it's working ok pumping water to the house. I'm glad for it. But the process of purifying the well water for a better use of it, it's imperative and also it's part of the deal. I've been trying to get in contact with Mr. Mapp and he was answering my text messages until this week. Last time I talked to him was on Saturday March 18, 2023. He was supposed to come by March 16 to 17 to connect the filtration system. Did not come. Saturday March 18 I text him to ask when he planed to come. He called me the same day and told me was very busy and going to come between Monday and Tuesday March 20-21. He didn't come so I text him again ask the same thing, when are you coming? I sent text messages on March 21 and 22 with no response. On March 23 I did not only ask if he is going to come or made him a proposal: bring me all the media and material necessary to connect the filtration system and I will do the work and put it to work. Again, no answer, period. Enough it's enough.

The pump they installed is not working properly since it was placed in, we have called the owner several times and he keeps saying he's coming to correct the situation, yet doesn't show up. I have spent over 6,400 dollars on this well and the repair man. Now he refuses to make it run properly, I have called him, my daughter has called, my granddaughter has called him. He had also blocked my phone number and or just doesn't answer it anymore. It is showing he is commiting fraud right now. He is not correcting the well products he sold us and installed, and also refuses to fix it. Again, $6,400 was spent and it works worse than before. I need someone to do something. I don't know businesses like these rip off the public with the way the economy is going. I either need it repaired or my money back.
