I have never in my life been seen by a doctor's office who has treated me like a criminal the way Coastal Pain and Neurology Center did today in ***********, **. The ** who saw me was ******* ********. She interrogated me instead of speaking with me, I moved from ** and was being seen there for over 2 yrs. for pain management. When Coastal received my records from there, they only got 1 yrs. worth instead of everything. The ** came to me and barked "We only got records until April 2023. Who have you been getting pain medication from?" instead of asking me if I was, in fact, getting meds from anywhere else. She accused me of this. When I told her she went to check and verified I was right. When she came back, I explained that I fell at work, but this was not a worker's comp case and also to realize that I am using my own personal medical insurance *********** Blue Shield). She said she had to verify, went to someone in the office, and then got on the phone to ask someone else who ultimately told her it was ok. Why did she not listen to me? She accused me of lying about what I told her. When she came back, she got upset because I was right and began giving me ultimatums about treatment to try to control me. I am not a child or a criminal, but she treated me like one. She did not like what she saw standing in front of her and treated me very harsh. This was the worst visit to any medical facility ever. I did not think people would mistreat others just by appearance, but I guess I was wrong. There is no other reason because she reviewed all my records and saw I was being treated for the same conditions I went there for. She had no reason to treat me like a child or criminal when she interrogated me or gave me an ultimatum. Please spread the word to family and friends that Coastal Pain and Neurology in ***********, **, does not speak to people as people. We go to these professionals for help, and they treat us like human waste.
