About

Important information

  • Additional Info:
BBB has received a pattern of consumer complaints filed against Postal 1 International concerning at home job opportunities.

Specifically, consumers have alleged they were hired to open and inspect packages sent to their home, then reship with a new shipping label. Consumers have also alleged that after fulfilling the job duties, the business will not pay the promised salary and become unresponsive.

In September 2019, BBB attempted to contact the business to obtain their position about the pattern of complaints. To date no response has been received. As of September 2019, BBB is currently conducting an investigation due to the pattern of complaints received against Postal 1 International. It appears this business's website was created on June 19, 2019, and BBB's attempts to email pending complaints to [email protected] have bounced back.

BBB confirmed that the company is not located at the Palm Harbor address listed on their website. Another company who owns the mailbox contacted BBB to confirm this business is not authorized to use the address as a PO Box.

It appears the business website for Postal 1 International lists images of Florida Division of Corporation Document Number L12000040259, however BBB found the document number and information listed under that corporate filing currently belongs to Color 1 LLC. BBB was unable to locate a separate corporate filing under Postal 1 International.

If you have been contacted by the business about a job opportunity, please read the BBB Industry Tips below:

You receive an email offering you a job at a shipping service. The company is hiring "agents" to package items and mail them overseas. The position reimburses "agents" for their expenses and pay a monthly stipend. It sounds like easy money, so you accept the job.

Soon, your first assignment arrives. You are asked to ship something - often electronics - to an address overseas. You send off the items, but your payment never arrives. You've been conned, and you may have just helped scammers move illegally obtained goods.

Watch out for variations on this scam, such as requests that could open you up to ID theft. Some victims reported sending a copy of their driver's license with their "job application," which gave scammers their name, address and photo.

How to Spot a Reshipping Job Scam:
    - Be very cautious of any job that asks you to share personal information or hand over money. Scammers will often use the guise of running a credit check, setting up direct deposit or paying for training.
    - If a job looks suspicious, search for it in Google. If the result comes up in many other cities with the exact same job post, it is likely a scam.
    - Check out the business' website. Scammers often falsely use the names of real businesses. Check on the business's site or give them a call to confirm the position exists
