    This review is for Gulf Coast Windows and Doors in Palm Harbor owned by Rob *****. I noticed that there are several companies with the same name on the west coast of Florida. Gulf Cost installed 2 sets of PGT impact resistant sliding glass doors with gray glass and bronze aluminum frames. I was thrilled the new threshhold would fit in my existing opening and there was no damage to my laminate floors. The bronze frame is factory coated so I know it will never scratch off like the painted vinyl would have with time. The gray tinted glass is great. It's not too dark, reduces glare and I am able to keep my curtains open in these west and south facing doors all day long. So happy I selected this family business that also does the installation. Rob, Robert and Justin were very professional and the attention to detail was evident when the installation was completed. I highly recommend this company.

    I signed a contract with Gulf Coast Windows on March 17th of this year for replacement of all the windows in my home (17) for a total cost of $24,329.00. They required an upfront payment of $12,164.50 which I paid in full. Shortly after this, the salesman, who was supposed to be my primary contact during the process quit. He told me at the time of sale that the window manufacturing would take about 6 weeks and installation would begin sometime shortly thereafter. As of this date, (6/10/25) I've made 4 calls to them and spoken to a man who refuses to give me his name. When I've asked him about the status of my order, he only says that his records show they'd be completed by the first week of June and I would receive a call by the week of June 6th regarding installation. When I asked for the name and number of the person in charge of that he said dismissively, "oh he doesn't talk to customers." So at this point, I've paid them over $12,000.00, I've been lied to about the status of my order, and they refuse to give me contact information for the only person who seems to know what that is. Is there anything that the BBB can do to help me with this problem?

    I am sorry to hear about this issue. Definitely not right on that companys behalf. I did want to add that this may be the wrong Gulf Coast Windows and Doors. There are several companies with that similar name, however this is not one of our customers. Whatever we can do to get this switched onto the correct company would be great. Please let me know if I need to do anything.
