My daughter and my niece attends swim lessons weekly at the 9:35am and 10:10am classes. For the month of June my family will be traveling. On May 11th I sent a request via the company's website using my online account and requested that my membership be placed on hold for the month of June and we would return for regular lessons for the month of July. I was told that someone will reach out to me regarding my request. A week later, on May 18th I spoke with **** at the front desk to see if they received my request since no one has reached out to me. She said she doesn't know where those request goes when members make them online. She said she will let her supervisor know about my request since I did make it before the 15th which is the cut off date. On May 21st I received a phone call from **** stating that her supervisor *** said that I will still be charged for the month of June because I didn't submit a written request on time. I informed her that I did give written notice on the company's website and it is not my fault that she does not know where the company website send the requests. I told her that I refuse to pay for the month of June since I believe I followed the company's protocol and gave them my request in a timely manner, and that the issue is internal with their website. Today, May 25th I went in for swim lessons and asked if they are still insisting on charging my card, they still insist on charging my account, so I believe now I am left with no other choice than to cancel my membership. I cancelled my membership effective July 1st. I am refusing to pay because I believe that I made my request on time and I gave them written notice. I don't understand why I am being penalized for doing exactly what they ask members to do. I am also very disappointed because my daughter and niece are doing well in their lessons and now I am forced to remove them due to their terrible customer service. I thought they never turn children away because of money, lies.

We apologize for the inconvenience. We only place holds for membership for those who present a doctor's note. Due to the fact you are going vacation, we cannot put your membership on hold, but you may cancel your membership for the month and rejoin when you come back from your vacation.

My wife and I joined **** in ********** for the month of August and was charged for the month plus an initial membership fee 29.00$ . We were never informed about a recurring monthly fee without a notice. Since we we have no intentions to use their facilities again. I feel they are being predatory by charging us without being advised. I called them and they told me I signed a form that allowed them to do so and I needed to give them 30 days advanced notice before they take me off their books. Its a 54 dollar charge a month which might seem a lot but it is a lot when my wife and I have no intention to ever use their services again. Plus being rude the person in charge just didnt care at all about the situation.Thank you *******************
