Poor work, no skill, didn't seem to care.
I bought a $1700 bathroom vanity with Quartz Countertop for a bathroom remodel. I also bought 2 Quartz backsplashes (back and side) which was $200+ but they were too long. Took it down to these folks and asked for some to be cut off each one where indicated. The cut I got back was not straight and badly angled, as if cut by a child. I mean this is a 3-1/2" x 2cm backsplash and they couldn't get it cut straight?

Took it back and request it be corrected & make it a good cut but when they brought it back is was still angled. The guy doing the work ($50/cut - $100 total) looked like this was a real bother to him. I asked for flat edges and they took it back again and brought it out correct this time but now the ends of the back splashes don't end at the edge of the sink top.

I was planning on using them for the kitchen remodel but not now. I have zero confidence in their craftsman attitude and ability (note the girl behind the counter was very nice)

I do apologize for the mistake. The guys were getting ready to leave to go to an install when you got to our shop and requested your backsplash to be cut down that you bought from another company. I understand he should have slowed down and made sure to make the cut right the first time, however, we are human and mistakes do happen. Most companies refuse to do any work to someone's existing stone for this reason, as we could have recut a new piece if there was an issue if we provided the material. We strive for our customer service and quality work. We never want a customer to leave unhappy. If you had come back to our shop to let us know it was short and wasn't going to work, we could have discussed how we could correct it. We did not receive any contact information from you because we quickly took care of it that morning. If you could, please reach out to us to see about us purchasing a replacement backsplash so we can correct the problem. We would love the opportunity to make it right for you!
    Thank you, Management

Hello, Not sure its a human mistake as much as a lazy mistake. Remember you told me he cut it by hand as you didn't want to start your air compressor for the saw..... so it was a judgement mistake and than a skill mistake. It doesn't make any difference what other companies do. You accepted the job for $50/cut, $100 total. Of course it was too short. After cutting it at an angle than grinding it down to remove the angle and make the edge flat that missing cut/ground material was gone. Again something experienced people with stone should have known as I imagine all stone cut for installation has to be accurately cut Bottom line is this whole thing can be identified as just being too lazy to start your machine and a certain level of indifference upon the part of the person doing the work and for $50/cut taking a few minutes each cut it should have been done right. Its already installed. I couldn't wait to order new Quartz backsplashes and I have my doubts if you would have taken the loss and supplied me new material ad its pretty expensive What I hope comes out of all this is that the person doing to work is counseled on doing a professional job regardless how small it is and to use correct tools needed for making straight and square cuts

Custom Granite Kitchens and Baths did a great job installing our new quartz countertops. From start to finish, they were professional, on time, and patient with me because I had so many questions! This hometown shop really puts their customers first.
