I was awarded a $20,000 scholarship from the ********************************** and enrolled in the International Pilot Schools time-building program at ******************* to build multi-engine hours.I arrived on September 9, 2024, but was unexpectedly required to complete a single-engine checkout before proceeding with multi-engine training. I completed the checkout on September 10 without issue, but then faced delays. On September 13, the school informed me they were still confirming my eligibility for their multi-engine aircraft with their insurance, a process that took nearly a week. Once resolved, I was told I would need an instructor for all multi-engine flights, a condition not disclosed earlier. This raised concerns about the schools readiness for my training, and upon further research, I found that their multi-engine plane (tail #N6042F) had logged only 48 minutes of flight time for the entire year, according to ************I also became concerned about safety and organization, as other students reported maintenance issues, and I observed disorganization in scheduling. After waiting for two weeks and flying only 30 minutes in a single-engine aircraft, I decided to leave the program. The **************************** advised me to request a refund of the remaining scholarship funds to ****, but despite the school acknowledging this, I have not received confirmation on the refund process in over four days.I estimate spending between $1,000 and $1,500 out of pocket on rent, travel, and living expenses, with only the single-engine checkout (approx. $500) completed. I seek your assistance in recovering the unused scholarship funds and continuing my time-building at another school. I appreciate your support in resolving this issue fairly and *********** not alone, in this either. I know of one other person who requested a $10,000 refund a couple weeks before I requested mine. He has yet to be refunded at this point either. Im encouraging him to also reach out to BBB.

I paid for 100 hours of flight time from merchant at a cost of $7147.60 on April 8th. Due to other circumstances, I wasnt able to complete the training. ******** states that refund would be given for the time not used on multiple occasions and last contact was April 19th stating a refund was sent and would arrive in a week. Refund has never arrived and merchant refuses to answer any calls or emails.
