The Nazis showed more empathy to Jews during the Holocaust than my animal received January 16, ****. While me and my family called relatives in the middle of the night to get funds to save our pet. **************** made it a point to say my dogs moans of pain were disturbing the staff in *************. ******* way of helping was by offering to euthanize my dog and for me to, drive home with the dogs dead body and bury it at home. OK People. Clearly one **************** realized money was an issue he no longer cared about our pet or Thank God we found another vet. Our dog unfortunately had to be put to sleep, but at a vet that took better care of our family. Im disgusted and plan to drag **************** in every platform possible. Also, the front staff is disgusting. Just call them. They dont even tell you what their names are. This place ***** keep in mind St. Francis is the patron ***** of animals.

*******************, While we understand losing a pet is difficult and you are grieving. **************** assessed your pet and gave you an estimate of what it would likely cost to try and help *****. We understand everyone's financial situation is different and we do not judge anyone's ability to pay for services. We know you are doing your best to care and provide for your pet. We offer a multitude of options from cash, credit cards (multiple) and care credit but if you as the owner do not have the funds to pay for services unfortunately we do not provide free services. **************** kindly reduced your exam fees by more than half just to cover the materials used to assess your pet. When Owner's cant afford their pets treatment we offer you to call around and see if pricing is better elsewhere, although we are one of the lower priced Emergency facilities in the area or we offer the option to euthanize your pet so that it doesn't suffer. You are welcome to try and fundraise or ask for donations but the cost of treatment is not free, it is a business and I have staff that have families to feed and pets to care for as well. You refused the estimate and euthanasia options which is perfectly ok and we are not judging your decision but I think it is unfair for you to be upset with our vet and staff for simply giving you options and your decision to leave. We are grateful that you were able to find a place acceptable and affordable to you to give your pet the peace needed and offer our condolences. I will respond to the BBB as well, thank you kindly for letting me share our side of the story so many places as well. Contrary to your beliefs I respond to all reviews when I can find the source of the patient to properly respond to but when vague comments are made under fictitious names I can't adequately respond to things.

Stay away!!! I've gone to this hospital for years with both of my pets and never have I received an unprofessional behavior as I have experienced with my dog I have now. A few weeks ago I brought my dog in as he appeared to be dying, then having seizures. The front office older lady seemed was very rude and seemed to not have urgency on the matter. They admitted my dog to later that evening find out is now a diabetic dog. After a few days of being in the hospital and major bills later I was able to get him released even though no answers were provided to me just that my dog has issues now with the kidneys. I tried to get my dog released earlier in the week however they still wouldn't do it. I felt like it was to just bill me more money. I will say this in a positive they were able to Medically board my dog for the diabetes. However when my dog was picked up he had a deep scratch on his nose and filled with fleas. I called the hospital and they said I can bring him in and they will give him a pill. When I got there the Dr. ***** gave me the pill and advised we are no longer welcomed back. Even if there is an emergency. **Disclaimer** please note the hospital will probably respond with a condescending remark regarding my review. Please keep this in mind.

I came here to do a simple X-Ray and they said they found something but wanted to do an Ultrasound and tests and have him overnight cause they said it was needed. They just wanted money and lied to me about his condition to take advantage of me. I was very devastated that my dog will die all he had was extreme hook worms. This doctor had many bad reviews about similar things I should have listen to the reviews. I will not stay quite about this fraud and abuse this office have done to me

I had the absolute worst experience with this Animal Hospital. I have been a dog breeder for many years and have had my share of services with several Animal Hospitals. This visit to St. Francis Animal Hospital was tragic. My dog was giving birth and all was going well at home until the final puppy was to be born. She couldn't push the last puppy out. After a few hours of her trying, I made the decision to take her to an Emergency Animal Hospital. St. Francis Emergency Animal Hospital as it wasn't far from my home. Once I arrived, my dog and I were put in an examination room. Shortly after she kept trying to push and the puppy feet presented themselves. I told the receptionist and the Veterinarian came in and pulled the puppy out successfully. The puppy came out alive, This is where the horror began. The Veterinarian took the puppy and began forcefully blowing into the puppy's nose. Being a breeder, I am experienced enough to know that the first thing you do when a puppy comes out is to clear its airways (nasal and mouth). If this isn't done, the fluid will fill its lungs and can be fatal. When the veterinarian was forcefully blowing air into the puppy, I asked him what he was doing. I then told the veterinarian to give me the puppy and a suction bulb aspirator. With no sense of urgency, he went to find the suction bulb. I took the puppy and used the suction bulb to clear the airway and rub the puppy to stimulate it. But by this time the puppy had already aspirated so badly the fluid that the veterinarian forced is the puppy's lungs killed the puppy. In this case, the veterinarian's ability to handle this emergency. I know that I will never use St. Francis Emergency Animal Hospital. I would not recommend this Animal Hospital to anyone.
