    We started a project with this company back in Feb 2018. The project was to be fulfilled within 5 to 8 months. As of today, the project seems to be abandoned. There are several permits not closed yet, windows and doors have not been fully installed, and a mechanical plan was going to be updated per permit requirements and nothing has happened. It's been a struggle throughout these 4 years to get *********** ***************************** and MCI Contractor to finish my project. After attempts and attempts on my part to complete this project, now they are simply not communicating with me (this has happened several times throughout this project as well. However, now there is no communication and it's been weeks). I paid all in full, including a lien they owed of 3.652.09 to a concrete company (which they now owe me, per a verbal agreement between Melquicedec ***************************** and myself).The business seems to have abandoned the project. I request this project to be finished and be paid back the amount owed to me.

    I am rejecting this response because:

    As of today (2/17/2023), the project seems to be abandoned. There are several permits not closed yet, windows and doors have not been fully installed, and a mechanical plan was going to be updated per permit requirements and nothing has happened.  I had several conversations with the contractor, *************************************, and he stated someone will be passing by the property to complete what is missing, and that they will be closing the permits. However, nobody has come to the property yet. It's been now 5 years on this project and it has been extremely frustrating. I request this project to be finished as soon as possible, please.

    The project in question with the complaint filed by *********************** is already completed. The client has been living in the house for two years now and all the work is already done. However, the client made changes to the house which requires city approval, hence the open permits that need to be closed. We rely on the client to provide Us these revised documents on the changes he made to the house for us to proceed to the city and close these permits.

    I am rejecting this response because:

     

    I have not made any changes to the house since the project started, back in 2018. Every modification of the property was planned since the beginning. Unfortunately the contractor has not been diligent enough to complete everything in a timely manner even though I have been more than communicative with them at all times. I've even helped them in completing tasks to attempt complete this project.

    This project began over 5 years ago. We have  3 sub-permits and the master permit pending to be closed. Once again, I've attempted to communicate with the contractor to help close the pending permits as these require their assistance to provide what the city permitting has been asking from them. The contractor has not responded me since 4/3/2023 (see attached).

    The last time I was able to talk to the contractor, he mentioned that he needs to take care of newer projects that brings him income before finishing other projects that are just costing him time and money at this time (my project is included there as I paid all in full and I am owed $3,652.09). I've been more than patient with this process, but enough is enough. This is unprofessional and unacceptable.
