As a first-time homebuyer, my experience was not as smooth as I had hoped. While I’m ultimately satisfied with the home and the neighborhood, there were some disappointing aspects during and after the closing process.
At the end of the purchase, several blue-taped items—most notably the ground grading on the side of the house and visible holes in the attic walls—remained unresolved as the superintendent advised we could not close with open ticket items. Although the grading issue has since been addressed post-closing, the attic holes are still outstanding.
Additionally, I experienced a temporary displacement just four days after closing due to a defective kitchen connector that flooded the first floor. Thankfully, both Adams and the plumbing company were responsive and worked together to resolve that matter, so no further action is needed there.
I’m enjoying the neighborhood and appreciate the location and overall quality of the home. While I would have preferred more built-in storage, I plan to address that myself over time.
One area of concern is the HOA. I’ve had difficulty reaching them via email and have yet to receive information about meetings or the lawn care schedule. I will continue trying to connect to get more clarity.
Overall, while this wasn’t the worst experience, I would have preferred a more positive and seamless process—especially as a first-time buyer. I remain hopeful that no further major issues arise and that I can fully enjoy my new home moving forward.

RUN AWAY from Adams Homes. They just want to take your money. They will not return any calls on any issues. Major issues with drainage and dang near a giant mud hole in my yard when it rains. Still not fixed. Other issues also. More to come.

Doris referred our Real Estate needs through Jack Conway Referral Registry. They got in touch with Melonie Haag of Epique Realty in Beverly Hills, FL who in return referred us to Karen who represents Adam's Homes at Fairways at Twisted Oaks.
We looked at several different new homes for sale in this community with Melonie. Once we decided on a home, Melonie introduced us to Karen who was very friendly and knowledgeable. She put together all the paperwork we needed to fill out to purchase our home. There was a lot of paperwork to fill out and Karen made it look so easy; she definitely knew her job.
From there Karen introduced us to Jacob the Superintendent at the property. He was extremely friendly, knowledgeable and very approachable during our home buying process.
There were a couple of small Warranty issues that were immediately addressed by Jacob and Angel the Warranty Coordinator.
We were extremely happy with everyone involved in our home buying process and would definitely recommend Adams Homes to our clients/family and friends. Thank you again for making our home buying process a pleasure.
      Thank you,
      Doris and Kevin McRae

I moved in to my Adams home five months ago and I love this house. Everyone was helpful and very easy to work with. I have no complaints and if needed, I would buy another Adams home. They are beautiful too.

My wife and I just purchased a home from Adam's homes in 9/2024 of this year. From start to finish, this was the worst home buying experience of my career. I have multiple homes, and Adams homes is the definition of incompetence.

Example 1: breach of contract. After all parties agreed to a purchase and sales agreement, we didn't hear anything for 10 days. Ultimately Adam's homes made an error on some pricing, and instead of owning up to it and trying to make it right, they tried ghosting me for almost two weeks trying to cover up the issue, instead of addressing it and making me aware of the situation. It would have been longer if I didn't drive two hours to find the Adams homes representative hiding in a model home.

      Example 2:

Multiple times since the onset of the engagement, we were crystal clear on when we were supposed to close. The home is a new build, and had been sitting vacant since December 23'. So you would think only minor things would need to be touched up prior to closing. That couldn't have been any more inaccurate. Every window was either not finished with the complete install, screws included, as well as every window has drywall cracking in the corners. Also the sub tile in the "wet areas" specifically the kitchen, are poor quality, as the grout is eroding and causing tile to crack 2 weeks into the home. Also the shower tile and grout is not even complete in the shower, where I'm now afraid I'll have water damage from this incompetance. So when we arrived for our final walk through, and being told by the Adams Homes management team everything would be done and good to go, we showed up and nothing was touched, and the blue tape from the inspector was still there.

      Example 3:

After raising multiple concerns, specifically the breach of contract, repairs that needed to be made before we closed, GM John Roberts and superintendent were non existent nor helpful through this entire process. This seems consistent with their image, a fraudulent org.

My experience with Adams has been a nightmare. After signing paperwork, I discovered my toilet did not work, when someone came to fix it there was a red bull can stuck in the pipping. Half the outlets in my living room didn’t work. The first time someone used my doorbell it fell off the wall, then took them months to come fix. When they came to install the wifi, the guy told me that the wiring was a mess and he would just run his own wires instead of using the smart box. They have had to come fix cracks on the poles outside my house. WORST thing was I found out the hard way that they did not seal around my windows when the tropical storm hit and my front room flooded (MIND YOU MY HOUSE IS BRAND NEW). The house was great until I moved in and realized all that way truly wrong with the house. I would not recommend them at all.

Very pleased with every part of the journey with Adam’s Homes in Ocala area. We bought a spec home that had already begun to be built, but they adjusted specs on both interior (cabinetry, counters and colors) and exterior (colors). Love that the home is concrete block not a wood frame. For an entry-level spec home, quality is solid and service was outstanding throughout the process.

Adams Homes failed to follow building code and never installed barriers needed to prevent rats and squirrels from getting into our attic and doing considerable damage to items stored there. We are currently working with City Building Dept and Adams Warranty to pay the midigagation bill we received. And have other structures checked!
