The contact date started October 2023. This was for a room addition and removal of a fireplace and walls boarding it. Of which I was the price would be $94,150 to date he has received $83,000 . To date the work stopped the of June 2024 and have not been able to texted or get him answer a phone call even after leaving messages. The addition has been covered with plywood and sealant but no metal roof to finish it. There alot more that has to be done in addition before wall and ceiling panels can be put in. Tie in straps in to be put in. Electrical and lights and insulation.
The fireplace has been removed and 70% of the items inside the house have been done. The walls in kitchen are removed. The ceiling was patched and painted with a few spots not finished yet. No work done to master bedroom as the addition is to be the new master bedroom. The old bedroom was to put split in to two walkin closets with a gun safe cubby hole. Making a hallway with two walk in closets a spot for a gun safe and a bathroom double vanity that was to be added.
AT THIS TIME WE HAVE BEEN GHOSTED BY LEE HUNTER CONSTRUCTION LLC
As of the writing of this and doing research on what I can do I have found many others that are in the same situation from Lee Hunter Construction LLC. My biggest question is how is this person able to keep a license.

Lee Hunter License ********** was hired to renovate a property on Pensacola area. He never competed the job and took 90% of the money. His license number doesn't exist anywhere and the only business registered is his father. I just learned about it. I am looking to get a refund on the amount of 33K and shut down his license so that he doesn't stole anybody else. This behaviors needs to stop and he needs to pay for the time and for the terrible job he did during the time he was hired.

You can look my license up. Not sure what she is referring too

I'm a licensed contractor in the state of Florida.

I was hired to do this renovation. I had to do a Skype video call with her lender every single week before ANY money ever exchanged hands. My project manager also was on a video call for me while I was away handling a personal matter. This lender would require me to walk through this home on a video call. Pointing out all the process made he would then reach out to the client, tell her how it went (which I always received a (call went well, keep up

The good work text from Lizzie. So to say money was taking that was "stolen"is ridiculous.

    Business Response

After speaking with my attorney this morning. This will be my last response, and he will handle this matter moving forward.

This is nothing more then a witch hunt against a small contractor.

Now the claim is I didn't purchase materials, well there is all new drywall, all new flooring, all new doors and baseboards. All new electrical wiring. Brand new hvac units plus duct work, a brand new roof, wooden soffits outside. I won't go on any further.

As I said, she is trying to blackmail, because she realizes she won't be able to retire off of a flip house.

This is silly, and as I said any further response from me will be through my attorney

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)

Since he is an small contractor he must know how small businesses work. $63,000.00 doesn't cover up all you mentioned above. In top of that, you just put flooring in top of all the unlevel subfloor. Where are the appliances, the windows, bathroom stuff. WE purchased the doors. Where is all the material, we want invoices. You are very dishonest and a thief. If you said you purchase all, where are them? Show me where is it and you won't be a thief. Still dishonest, if you can't show me then you are a robber. I just want to make sure you don't do the same to other people. I can't believe state of Florida will allow people like you have a constructor license. It is unbelievable.

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)

WE Paid hi every week to don't miss a payment since he couldn't response the banker video call. He only responded to 2 video calls, we have proof of that. those 2 video calls didn't pay the amount we paid to him. Third video call he re-scheduled it. banker couldn't refund us all the money we paid upfront to him( every Friday) because of the job he showed was incorrect. The every week draw didn't match for what we paid hence, we couldn't received our money back. He said he purchased materials, he didn't. If he did where are the invoices? we don't have nothing. we have to hire a different contractor to finish the job. We found out that the entire house is a disaster. Including the wrong permits he used.

He is very unprofessional, dishonest, and lier. We tried many times to contact him, after he get 90% of the budget he stopped answering the phone calls.
