    On August 12, 2022 I met with Antonio, the owner and plumber associated with u Save Plumbing Co. and agreed to have him perform the job to connect my rental house to the new sewer line that had been installed by ECUA.. The address is at *** ** ****** ***., Pensacola, Fl., 32506.
    At that meeting. he agreed to do the job for $2500 and would start the work on August 15th. He said I would have to pay half of that amount at that time ($1250.) so that he could purchase materials, get the proper permits from the city/county, etc. I agreed and wrote him a check at that time. The check was immediately cashed, and I have not heard from him since. I have called and left several messages. as well as texted him by phone. He has not answered me, and I have even called him again a few times in the last few days, again with no response.
    I know that he is still working, as he has done a few small plumbing jobs for people that I know since that time.
    With no response from him, I still had to get the sewer connection done since the home is occupied. On August 28th, I hired a new plumber to do the work. That plumber also took a down payment, but he actually got the proper permits and inspections that were required. He completed the job to my satisfaction within 3 days.
    What I am asking for, to avoid legal charges, is simply the return of my $1250. that I paid as a down payment.
    I have the contract copy and the cancelled check, but I was unable to upload them.
