2 starsI have been frustrated with Compass' service after the sale. Last year was a total fiasco when our inverter went out and Compass didn't seem to know what they were responsible for. After many tech visits, voicemails, follow-ups, and me submitting a certified letter, Solar Edge reimbursed most of the energy production I lost from my inverter being out for months.
Now, I have a panel that is low producing. I called Compass and the lady said they were low on techs and that she would get me on the schedule. She also said that labor was $200/hour. 8 days went by and no call so I followed up and she assured me I was in the queue. Matt came out 6 days later. He was very nice and professional and marked on the invoice that he was here for 40 minutes.
Then I got sent an invoice for $200. I asked for it to be prorated and the answer from "accounting" was that $200 is the minimum. $200 an hour??? Really? That is completely exorbitant and I certainly isn't part of the sales pitch. I am preparing people interested in going with Compass about this hidden high cost.Review fromMark L

After a thorough review of solar energy companies, we selected Compass Solar of Pensacola, FL to install an 9.72kW DC solar panel system on our home in Lynn haven, FL We were very impressed with all aspects of the project and the people at Compass Solar
The sales person (Terry LOGAN) was very professional, very knowledgeable about solar systems and the products his company was providing. He honesty about savings, products available and other costs (ie home insurance premiums) that should be considered was very satisfying and was important in evaluating whether or not to install solar systems. The solar equipment quoted was the best available (REC panels, Enphase IQ7 inverters).
The office staff at Compass Solar (Stacey LEHEY, Alicia PLUMB) were also outstanding. The information they provided was accurate, timely, very well written and really helped the customer understand the process and progress.
The site inspection and installation crews were professional, efficient, well trained and polite. The always provided us of their arrival, departure and left to job site clean.
Compass Solar's selection of sub-contractors was also impressive. The structural design firm (Dean A Spencer, Engineering) completed a thorough and timely design and the electrical sub-contractor's work (Sandcastle Electrical) was also outstanding. No problems were encountered with the governing authorities’ inspections.
It is too early to provide a complete review of the system's performance but after a week in service we are producing more electricity that the performance guarantee.
We highly recommend that if you are considering solar panel installation, contact Compass Solar.

I was very happy with my experience with Compass Solar and my new solar system. They pay close attention to detail and helped relocate some panels that needed to be moved to follow certain codes. This told me that they truly care about do a good job and doing it correctly. They are easy to work with and made it a pleasurable experience. The have bee around since 1998 and it's very obvious they take pride in what they do.
The solar consultant that Compass sent out was Landon Cagle. He was very nice, knowledgeable, and non-pushy. He was very helpful in answering all the questions I had!! Landon didn't treat me as just another customer.... He showed up on the day of the installation to make sure I was happy with the project. Landon and Compass Solar are definitely the ones to use if you have interests in solar.

Zach with Compas solar was and continues to be amazing. He provided me with a lot of information. As our house was being built and we were out of town Zach kept in touch. He did not use any high pressures sales gimmick, just kept in touch and answered all of my questions. I have read the other reviews, and as of now, we have no complaints with our system (4 months old) nor any issues with Compass solar.
After our system was installed, I had some HOA questions. I called Zach and he didn't waste any time getting me more information (post-sale and installation.Compass Solar Energy

5 starsI am quite pleased with the solar system installed by Compass Solar. Zack explained the process and kept me up to date with the goings on of the installation and final walk thru of the system. Melanie and Stacey also provided weekly email updates and co-ordination with FPL for the turning on of the system. The install crew was quick and friendly with the installation of the panels and inverter system. So far the system has met my expectations, but it has only been 3 months since the install. I will post another review when the system has been in operation for a year to get the full impact of how a solar system is supposed to work.
