In February 2023 I requested a quote for an engine swap on my car. During the initial interaction, the customer service was top notch. They answered all my calls, assisted me step by step throughout the payment process, and gave me an itemized list of the entire project with the price. I gave the initial deposit for $19,500 and the owner ***** ***** told me that the project would be done in 6-9 months. Immediately after they received my initial deposit, the customer service dissapeared. From one night to the other, They would not answer the phones, emails, Instagram messages, or ******** messages. After months of attempting to get in contact with the owner of the shop and threatening civil or criminal litigation, the owner finally answered my call. I requested my money back, but he stated that he was unable to return my money back at the time. In an effort to avoid lawyer fees and my time consumed in a civil lawsuit, I gave them the benefit of the doubt and finally agreed to dropped my car off in February 2024. For a couple weeks, the owner would answer my calls and texts. Until I dropped off the car. Then. The owner disappeared again. Now, 8 months later, they still have my car, and I have yet to hear a word about what they have or havent done with my car. In an effort to test my theory that they were purposely stealing peoples money and then ignoring them I used a different name and number and requested a quote for another car. A Couple of days later, the owner contacted me back with the quote and the customer service was top notch again. I fear that this company is just taking people deposit and then not working on the cars. Unfortunately, I am too far into this mess. They have my car and money at this point. I just want my money and car back. Or for them to complete my car. Its unfortunate, because the initial interaction was awesome, and then they fell off the face of the earth.. with my money and my car.

I paid a deposit of 18,500$ to ***** at Zero2Sixty Performance LLC to have my Corvette engine swapped. I dropped the vehicle off in January of 2023, and promise after promise, nothing was completed or ordered for my vehicle. Finally, I picked my vehicle up in November of 2023. ***** helped load my car and wrote a check to return my deposit; however, the check bounced. ***** has since yet to return calls or emails.

    Better Business Bureau:

Zero2Sixty Performance refunded my deposit after I stated in an email that I would pursue criminal charges. At this time, I have retrieved my property and my deposit. I have no further business with Zero2Sixty Performance. However, you will more than likely continue to receive complaints as this the standard practice.

    Sincerely,

    *********************

I contacted Zero2Sixty last summer regarding performing an engine swap on my **** Chevrolet K5 Blazer. We met at the Zero2Sixty shop in September to discuss the project and an estimate was provided along with an invoice in the amount of $6,500.00 to purchase parts based on the estimate. This invoice was paid 9/20/2022. The owner of the shop said some of these parts would take 2-3 months to come in and he would keep me updated and let me know when I can bring the vehicle in to start the work. He had said once he had the vehicle it would be 4-6 weeks to complete the work. I had not heard anything by the time Thanksgiving 2022 came around and I started to call and leave voicemails asking for progress updates and when I can get the vehicle into his shop. I continued to do this through December and January, calling and leaving multiple voicemails. In February and March I switched to following up with emails, to which the owner responded on 3/6/2023. This was the first I had heard from him since 9/20/2022. The owner claimed he had lost some employees and that was why he hadn't responded. I requested a refund or to receive the parts that were supposed to be purchased with the $6500. I have followed up with more emails but have not heard from the owner since 3/6/2023.

I hired ********************* with Zero2Sixty Performance to put a LS Motor and New Automatic Transmission in my **** Defender. I dropped the vehicle off to him on 1/31/22 along with a $15,000 deposit at that same time. When I dropped the vehicle off he confirmed to me that it would take him six weeks to complete the job for me and he would have it all finished in that time frame. Over the course of several months there was always a reason why there had not been any progress on my car. I was patient and tried to be understanding but after several months with multiple times ***** not responding to me when requesting updates I feel like this is now my only option. It has been a total of 8 months at the present time and I do not have the vehicle back, there are no updates being given and no communication from ***** any longer. After numerous attempts to rectify the situation with him personally I am left no other option but to get the law and an attorney involved in order to regain custody of my vehicle. He has not responded to any of my attempts to pick up my vehicle and the moneys provided for the service he did not do. Currently, I am attempting again to pick up my Defender up at 10:00 on 9/22/22. He will not respond to me at all through any and all avenues I have reached out to him. As a business owner myself it is really hard for me to understand how someone could hold peoples property and money without any regards to rectifying the situation with them. Multiple businesses around him have confirmed that he is not very present or consistent with the times that they have seen him in his shop. They also said I am not the only one calling to try and track ******************* to get there items from him.

On February 21,2022, I had my car towed to Zero2sixty Performance to do an LS engine swap , vintage air and to install aftermarket mufflers on my 1969 Chevelle. David, the owner informed me that the time frame would take approximately 8 weeks to complete from dropping it off to driving it home. I made an online deposit totaling $16,976.34 on February 25th. On Friday April 15th the 7th week of him having my car, I made a visit to the shop to check on my car. My car hadn't been started on. He told me that it was in another storage bay that he had and that I was looking at June of being complete as he has 2 cars that he works on at one time. I emailed David a couple of times a week afterwards to confirm that my car was one of the next 2 to enter the bay. I didn't get a response. I then emailed another week later to asked if he was still waiting on parts to start on my car. He emailed back on April 28th to say that he only had to come up with a part for the vintage air and found one. He also stated that he was finishing a Surburban and my car will roll in its spot. I emailed and left a voice message to David after two weeks to check on the status of my car. No email or no call back. After a month of no response from David, I had someone to go by his shop on May 31st to see if he was still open. The person had me on the phone and asked for David to check on my car. David told me that he now had a vehicle that had been in his shop for over a year that was priority. He then tells me that it will now be the end of June until he is finished with my car. I asked David if he would let me know when he started on my car and he agreed that he would. I emailed and called and left a message for David on July 13th and the 18th to know what the current status of my car is and have not had a response. I am not local and cannot just drive to the shop to see what's going on. The current address for the shop is 10430 66th St N Unit 4, Pinellas Park, FL 33782.

Consumer Response /* (3000, 16, 2022/08/24) */ I went to the the shop on the 12th of August to check on my car. The shop was closed but I still called and left a message. David texted me shortly afterwards to say that he would be back the next Tuesday. I asked about my car and he didn't give me a response. I had to call him back that Tuesday and informed him by text, voicemail, and email that I will be coming to retrieve my car, parts and or monies owed to me for failure to provide service. He called me back stating that it was ok to get my car and that he was working something out with a bank to cover the debt. I hired a towing company to pick up my car that Friday and informed David. David made a verbal agreement to mail me a check of my entire deposit as soon as he got confirmation from the bank. Our business together is not done until he pays me back my deposit.
