If you would like to get charged more than the original quote you were given by this accountant, because more paperwork is requested to complete your taxes, with them saying it was because they had to re-open your file after their request— without any explanation that that would cost more—use this accountant. Upon speaking up about this, I was charged the original quote. However, if you would enjoy using an accountant that tells you that your taxes cannot be filed, and you reach out to them numerous days without any response—when tax day is very rapidly approaching, use this accountant. If you also then wrongfully decide that you give this accountant the benefit of the doubt, because you later would like a simple tax question asked, and they tell you that you threatened their employees, which you did not, use this accountant, Alicia King. What I had personally said is that I was going to report Ms. King to their state board, and let my referral source know what happened. That is not threatening anyone except for this accountant. At least I know in the medical field, abandonment is malpractice. I have yet to find out what this is called under the accounting board. If you want to go through this type of stress during tax season, I really would think again.

      ******************,

We'll address one by one each of your claims:

      1.  The paperwork you signed on March 27th, 2023, stated that if you made changes to your file after we completed the return, the cost would be $75.  That's exactly what we charged you.

      2.  We didn't request any additional paperwork from you.

      3.  Yes, you were charged exactly what we quoted you, other than the change that you opted to make.  And technically, we told you that upfront, as well. Therefore, we did charge you exactly what we quoted you.

      4.  We didn't tell you that your taxes couldn't be filed.  We file *****+ returns a year.  Of course we can file your return.  What we ACTUALLY told you that the *** would not allow your taxes to be filed electronically, since you or someone else already filed them electronically (which you conveniently seemed completely unaware of), and that we would have to paper file your tax return.  That's exactly what we did.

      5.  When you repeatedly email us during the last two weeks of tax season, DESPITE us telling you there would be delays if you write to us after March 31st due to the volume of returns we file in the last two weeks, and you have an expectation other than what we've clearly outlined, you'll be disappointed. Seems you have selective hearing and heard what you wanted to hear, not what was told to you.

      6.  When you call and threaten to write bad reviews, make complaints with the ***** of ************ and make complaints with the State ***** - you're correct, we'll no longer serve you. In fact, the mere thought that you could still find the gall to send an email asking for advice after your numerous threats shows how much you need to be sitting in your own "mental health" chair and counsel yourself.  Your statement of "abandonment is malpractice" further corroborates this statement, as you stated we fully completed your file and prior to the filing deadline, despite you delaying your documentation getting to us for multiple weeks, yet somehow we "abandoned you".  Kudos to Taxperts for some A+ customer service - coming in hot despite the failure on the side of the client to properly follow through.

I'd like to say that we wish you all the best, but what we truly wish you is karma.
