    I wanted to comply with a requirement with Garmin to update my Unit every 6 months and was put on to a person who was. supposedly an employee of ******. This individual went through what I assumed was the update but he told me my computer could not handle the amount of the update. And Now I received a bill for $349,99 not from Garmin, but from someone I did not contract with. This must be a Fraudulent operation.

    I was trying to update my Garmin when a chat window opened under the ruse they were Garmin customer support asking to help update my device. ************************* asked for permission to run the program then came back with your laptop is infected because your ********* firewall has expired. I can help you renew it & fix these errors & warning. Would you like 3yr or lifetime ********* firewall, $299 or $399. I was billed ,$399. When the Garmin was fine updating I asked if I'd receive an email with confirmation # & of purchase. He said yes. He also stated he was out of *********. Gave phone # of **********************, employee # *******. However the number he called me from was ************. I took several pics of what he was doing in case this was a scam. After, I contacted ********* & sent them all of the pictures. They verified this was not affiliated w/ ********* & their firewall DOES NOT EXPIRE! I have contacted my bank as well! It was so real looking especially the error page and that my IP was been used by foreign people. This company needs to be investigated & shut down!

    On November 2, 2022 while attempting to set up my new Garmin Drive Smart 65, I call Garmin and was redirected to an alleged Garmin IT person. I spoke with ************************* of MySoftSquadLLc, Employee#*******. He gave me his number **********************. It turns out that the person I spoke to scanned my computer and said that I was hacked by someone in ****** and in order to download the updates he would need to clean it. It took over 2 hours. He said there was a block but he cleared it. My credit card was charged ****** for lifetime service. ****************** of MySoftSquadLLC did not provide the service he said would update my Garmin Drive Smart 65. I am asking for a full refund. I still can't get my GPS to work.

    Yesterday, 10/15/22 I was attempting to update my Garmin *** , A chat person (****) popped and asked if he could assist me in updating my *** and asked me to state the problem. After a few chats he asked if he could take control of my computer in order to detect the problem. When the took control, he started a scan an immediately ****** errors began scrolling. He then showed me a firewall part which was no longer under warranty since 2019. He said I would need it replaced in order to stop hackers and also, before I could get any updates. He said I could purchase a security firewall update for lifetime for $499 and install on my computer and it was transferrable to my other computers. He said he could then do a clean up for me and also get the update for my Garmin. I agreed to purchase and he began the updates to my *** but it still didn't recognize the connection. He then asked if I had another computer and I told him I had a laptop. He then connected it to and began to update my ***. I saw that the *** began updating. Since it would take 2 to 3 hours to update he said he would call back when it was updated. While waiting I pulled up the Business on the web and it looked to be a valid company. When he called back I asked for a license number for the update and a receipt. He said he would send as soon as the Chase Card approved the transaction. The Chase transaction went through and he did send the receipt, but no license number was included. Today I tried to connect the *** and my computer still did not recognize it. I looked back to the receipt and noticed the email for MySoft Squad was a 'gmail' account and I became suspicious. I searched for the company again and found many, many people had been scammed by this company. Now I have been scammed also. Thank you for any help you may provide.
