I purchase a gift card o line for jump Florida Skydiving on August 14 2023 I had it sent to a friend through email. It was over 200 dollars. I asked her lasrt week if she went skydiving and she said no it expired I reached out to the company through email and they responded they expire in 6 months. I called the telephone number and they said 1 year. I reached out to them through email To let them know they were in violation of federal law that states a gift card cannot expire and state law in florida that states a gift card cannot expire. I called and explained the situation and they told me for 35 dollars they can honor a expired gift card. I explained that was also a violation of florida state law. It was told that the person who responded to my email was the owner of the company. Well he completely ignored me I reached out again today to let him know you have to honor the gift card and that the person told me that they'll charge $35 and that that was against the law and he responded well that's good news if they'll let you jump for $35. Proceeded to ignore my other emails I sent him the senate ****** also let him know nowhere on the website does it say anything about expired gift cards and nowhere in the terms of condition of when you pay for it in the checkout does it say anything about a expired give card the expiration date came after the purchase and was sent to the email to the person that I bought it for and she didn't know. I have all the evidence the emails the ****************** my bank statements where I made the purchase. I Believe this company is committing fraud and violating the law and it's not fair that I'm out over $200 and then they want extra $35 on top of that when the services were never provided. It not just about my purchase how many other people are they scamming like this
