I purchased a protection plan through a dealer in May of 2022. The contract was canceled without my knowledge June 4 2022. The refund was never processed. The dealer has sent multiple check requests and is getting blown off by this company. The finance manager has processed all documentation to re-imburse this money to my principal balance of the loan. I found out that the contract was cancelled recently and have been trying to seek reimbursement for the service not rendered. I have the contract number and all documentation proving it was canceled. I am demanding my refund and that this company respond to the dealer's check request. All paperwork has been processed.

I have a uswc powertrain warranty purchased August 4th 2023. The transmission was damaged when I lost all transmission fluid. I filed a claim with uswc. And it it was denied. I paid $3,000 for this warranty when I bought the car last year. I would like them to honor their contract and repair my transmission

    Business Response

    Date: 07/19/2024

United States Warranty Corp. ("USWC") received your letter dated July 9, 2024, which was forwarded for review and response. USWC administers the Vehicle **************** ********* contract") that *************************** purchased from *********************** Chevrolet on August 4, 2023. We hope you find the following information helpful.

The service contract **************** purchased is not a warranty or insurance. It's crucial to note that coverage is not automatic when a claim is filed. The service contract lists the components that are covered, those that are not, and the events that are excluded from coverage. Certain conditions must be met for a claim to be covered, and there are also coverage exclusions.

According to our file, a claim was filed on May 10, 2024, for the transmission lines leaking at the radiator. This claim was denied because the transmission lines are not listed as covered under section E. Coverage states,"Coverage is limited to the Vehicle parts and other items described below."

Another claim was filed on June 20, 2024, due to the vehicle losing power and fluid leaking. Due to the previous claim, our claims team took the necessary step of requesting the repair facility to see if the transmission lines had been replaced. On June 25, 2024, the repair facility called back and stated that the transmission lines had yet to be replaced. The claims team explained that a third-party inspection would need to be performed, ensuring a thorough and fair assessment of the situation.

The inspection report noted severe slipping and high RPMs, and the vehicle would not move. The inspection report indicated the transmission cooler lines were rusted and leaking to a heavy drip. Failures to covered parts caused by the failure of a non-covered part is excluded from coverage. The cooler lines are not covered and the failure to replace the lines caused damage to the transmission.

We have also taken note of the request to cancel the service contract.  By pointing out the foregoing, USWC and its affiliates do not waive, but specifically reserve, any and all rights and defenses they may have under the service agreement and the applicable law.

For warranty number PG1F107424 it states it is a 90 day power train warranty. Business Response

United States Warranty Corp. ("USWC") received your letter and email dated May 31, 2024, which was forwarded for review and response. USWC administers the Limited Warranty ("Warranty") provided to Mr. ****** on May 2, 2024. We hope you find the following information helpful.

It's crucial to note that coverage is not automatic just because a claim has been filed. Specific requirements must be met for a claim to be covered, and there are also coverage exclusions. The Warranty provides a detailed list of parts that are covered and parts that are excluded from coverage. Adhering to the specified terms and conditions is essential for any claim to be valid.

Our meticulous claims team has thoroughly reviewed the file and found that the claim was adjudicated per the Warranty terms. They received a call from the repair facility, which indicated that the vehicle required a variable valve timing solenoid. However, this requested component is not an internal lubricated part and is not listed under the WHAT THIS WARRANTY COVERS section, which clearly states the covered parts. It also specifies that coverage is limited to the Vehicle parts and other items described.

The claims team explained that the part may be covered under the manufacturer's Warranty. The repair facility or Mr. ****** would need to contact the manufacturer to determine if coverage is still available.

By pointing out the foregoing, USWC and its affiliates do not waive, but specifically reserve, any and all rights and defenses they may have under the service agreement and the applicable law.

On May 7,2024 put a new set of tires on my car which is 2019 Dodge Charger Gt at ********* tire center the technician told me the rim was bent in the inside passenger rear. I called united states warranty they told me they were they gone deny my claim because the old tire was not on the car when the tire was leaking and plus the tire was worn down that's why they needed to be replaced so these people told me to PUT THE OLD TIRES BACK ON so they can send out a tech to see the leak MAKE IT MAKE SENSE. So now the new tire that I have on can bust or go bad with this damage rim that need to be fix.

United States Warranty Corp. ("USWC") received your letter and email dated May 18, 2024, which was forwarded for review and response. USWC administers the Tire & ********************** ********* contract") that ***************************** purchased from ***************************** on March 05, 2022. We hope you find the following information helpful.

The service contract ************** purchased is not a warranty or insurance but a specific agreement for Tire & ************** It's crucial to note that coverage is not automatic when a claim is filed. The service contract lists the components that are covered, those that are not, and the events that are excluded from coverage. It's important to understand that certain conditions must be met for a claim to be covered, and there are also coverage exclusions.

Per our records, ************** called the claims team expressing dissatisfaction because you were informed that the rim was bent, and he wanted it repaired. ************** mentioned that he was driving the car, and the tire was holding air. Under the coverage you selected, Tire & Wheel Coverage includes "Repairs or if non-repairable replace each wheel attached to your vehicle that will not seal or hold air after the tire is repaired or replaced due to a Road Hazard."

As he mentioned that the tire is holding air, there was no failure to a covered component. We acknowledge your concern, but the service contract specifically covers the tire and wheel issues that prevent it from sealing or holding air after repair or replacement due to a Road Hazard.

By pointing out the foregoing, USWC and its affiliates do not waive, but specifically reserve, any and all rights and defenses they may have under the service agreement and the applicable law.

United States Warranty Corp. ("USWC") received your letter and email dated May 15, 2024, which was forwarded for review and response. USWC administers the American Universal Warranty ***** ******* Motor Vehicle ***************** ********* agreement") that Mr. ******************* purchased from 44 Auto Mart Louisville on January 10, 2022. We hope you find the following information helpful.

The service contract ************ purchased is not a warranty or insurance. It's crucial to note that coverage is not automatic when a claim is filed. The service contract lists the components that are covered, those that are not, and the events that are excluded from coverage. It's important to understand that certain conditions must be met for a claim to be covered, and there are also coverage exclusions. One of these conditions is that prior authorization is required.

According to our file, we learned about the claim when the repair facility called us on February 28, 2024. The repair facility stated that ************ had authorized the initial diagnosis, stating the left front door lock switch was inoperable. The repair facility states that they found a short in the harness for the left door power lock switch. The repair facility charged five hours of labor and no parts. The repairs were completed to confirm no other items were shorted.

The claim team explained that they would need to get approval to pay the claim, emphasizing that the claim was not authorized prior to the repair being completed. This underscores the importance of obtaining prior authorization for any repairs.

Under SECTION 8-CLAIMS PROCEDURES, it states in bold lettering that "The repair facility MUST obtain authorization for Us before any repair." Also, under SECTION 12-WHAT THIS AGREEMENT DOES NOT COVER, states THE FOLLOWING PARTS AND CONDITIONS ARE NOT COVERED BY THIS AGREEMENT. O. REPAIR OR REPLACEMENT OF PARTS NOT AUTHORIZED BY US. THIS INCLUDES REIMBURSEMENT FOR THE REPAIR OR REPLACEMENT OF OTHERWISE COVERED PARTS WHEN PERFORMED OR AUTHORIZED BY YOU."

************ called on February 29, 2024, and was told the claim was still under review. We have not received any further action on the claim.

If ************ would like us to review for possible reimbursement, we will need a copy of the invoice and paid receipt. However, it's important to note that since the claim was not authorized prior to the repairs being completed, we cannot guarantee that reimbursement will be provided.

By pointing out the foregoing, USWC and its affiliates do not waive, but specifically reserve, any and all rights and defenses they may have under the service agreement and the applicable law.

    Complaint: 21712700

I am rejecting this response because: Upon purchase of vehicle and (warranty, and/or service agreement) from 44 auto mart, I was informed that I could take my vehicle to any certified mechanic for repairs, first paying a $100 deductible.

After taking my vehicle to Cross Jeep Motors. I did instruct the service consultant to check and repair the power door lock on the divers side front door.

I gave the service consultant the so called (warranty/service agreement) the name and phone number to call and put in a claim to see if the repairs was covered, before I would possibly pay any remaining cost.

The service consultant called the (USWC) to establish and to start a claim. hopefully the attachments are with my response to show the Cross Jeep Motors phone conversations.

I called Cross Jeep Motors the following day, to find out what has transpired, and was informed. See the attachment.

I personally called (USWC) to check on the status of the claim. I was told that an email was sent to the corporate office for review.

I called on (3) different occasion to (USWC), and was informed, each time that I was on the phone with a employee with (USWC) that there has been no response back on the subject, and was going to send another an email to corporate.

The part that is more concerning about the claim, is that Cross Jeep Motors or myself ( ********************** ) never received a return email or phone call stating that the claim was denied or granted.

My vehicle remained at Cross Jeep Motors for a long period of time. Since I needed the vehicle back and with no answer back from (USWC) I paid the bill and picked up my Jeep.

    Sincerely,
    back

I have a 2018 BMWx4 that needs the alternator and the battery replaced on it. I spoke with my mechanic **** at Upstate Imports Auto Repair in ********, ******** located @***************************** The mechanic said the car needs an alternator, an alternator belt and a few other things needs to be replaced on the car. He said the warranty company denied the claim to pay for my alternator to be replaced. The contract states that the alternator is included l but the car battery is not. I am asking that the warranty company be fair and pay for my alternator as agreed in the contract. Attached are my documents that proves coverage in my warranty contract with United States Warranty Corporation. On Thursday April 11, 2024 I spoke with a customer service representative named ******** around 4:30pm and she stated to me over the phone that the warranty was denied. United States Warranty Corp. ("USWC") received your letter dated April 11, 2024, which was forwarded for review and response. USWC administers the Vehicle **************** ********* contract") that Ms. ********************* purchased from ******* Motors Chevrolet Buick on April 25, 2023. We hope you find the following information helpful.

The service contract is not a warranty, nor is it insurance. Coverage is not automatic when a claim is filed. Specific requirements must be met for a claim to be covered, and there are also coverage exclusions and limitations. According to our file, the repair facility called on April 9, 2024, and stated that the alternator was oil-soaked from a leaking oil filter housing and a gasket failure.

The claims team explained that while the alternator is eligible for coverage, the oil filter housing and gasket are not covered, and the claim would be denied due to the failure being caused by a non-covered part. Under section H. Exclusions and Other Coverage Limitations, it states that "This Contract does not cover the following: 4. A Mechanical Breakdown or damage to a part resulting from or falling within any of the following descriptions: failure of a Covered Part when caused by the failure of or damage to a non-covered part"

I purchased tire and wheel warranty for $2149 from ************* in June 2021, when I purchased my GLS 450 from the dealership. Warranty is 60 month term. My tire went flat when I hit a pothole Jan 2023 and dealership informed me the wheel is cracked so the tire will not hold air. I need a wheel. The wheel will cost more than $1200 and USW denied the claim the dealership filed. USW asserts this is not covered since the tire itself is not damaged. It is inoperable and undrivable. I reject the USW denial that wheel isnt covered and am convinced this warranty company is a scam. Also why havent I received this fine print still as of today?
