    My boyfriend and I stayed at Budgetel motel for 2 days starting on 11/18/2022 we checked in around ***** pm. Upon checking in we were given a room and when we entered the room we smelt any odd smell but the A/C was not on so we assumed it was from no air being run. So we turned the A/C on and did a few things including unpacking and calling my daughter. once the call was finished around 8 pm I wanted to take a shower so I was I was getting ready I took off my shoes and when i stepped on the floor and realized it was wet. After looking around the room better I noticed the fridge was leaking and the was mildew one the floor. So I called the office to let them know and asked to them to change our room which half the motel was empty. The person at the desk yelled and said no because we had 15 mins to report a problem. We informed him why we didn't notice it at first and he then stated "It's not my problem." We then asked if we can just get our money back since we paid cash. He said if we leave we lose our money and deposit. So we had no choice but to sleep in a room with wet floors and mildew growing on the floor. The next morning we spoke to the person working the front desk about what had happened the night before and they said we should have been moved and changed our room. Upon checking out today we spoke to the manager and he stated he was sorry and looking into why the person refused to do anything. We then asked because of the whole thing to receive a discount of the first night only. The manger said no that even though the room should not have been rented and the worker was rude that he would not due anything to make it right. I feel due to everything we are due 50% ($60) of the first night back.
