I contracted in 2021 with Roofing Recovery for a Roof Replacement and Solar Project at my home. Regarding my solar project, roughly 17% of my system (13 out of 79) have experienced a malfunction that requires troubleshooting and possibly replacement parts which should all be covered under warranty. After paying $85,000 on the solar project, I am stuck with 13 panels that are not working and a contractor who is not capable and/or not willing to honor the warranty on this system and my solar system functionality is significantly diminished as a result. I have contacted the contractor to remedy the issue and he has had a provider come out on two ocassions to change breakers in the panel but the root cause of the problem is left unaddressed and the breakers keep popping. I have been left with this malfunction for two years since installation. I would like my system restored in full and I have been losing solar production for an extended period of time. If the contractor does not wish to honor any warranty on the system, he should issue a refund equivalent to 17% (based on 13 out of 79 panels not working) on the project as it will cost me money to have an electrician or other solar contractor to come in and rectify the problem.

The contractor has sent a representative who has found the cause of the issue with this system. There was some bad wiring that was fixed and now the contractor is working to change all the connections to appropriate weather resistant mc4 connectors to avoid future issues. I expect that this will be resolved amicably and I can withdraw the complaint.

    Good afternoon,

The purpose of this email is to update you on Consumer Complaint #********.
The customer reached out to us regarding an issue he was having with his solar panels. Unfortunately, the customer never GOOGLED us to find our phone number, website, or email and was reaching out to our old mail address, hence we never received any of his complaints, as our old stuff was hacked.

As soon as we received this complaint via BBB, we called the customer and informed him of our new email address. We have visited the customer and taken care of the issue that he stated he has. At this point, we feel we have reached the bottom of this complaint, and the customer and we as a company wish to have this complaint closed/resolved.

We contacted the customer and requested he contact you as well, but we are not sure if we must do something on our end to close the complaint. Please reach out to the customer to confirm what is being stated above and kindly **** this complaint as resolved/closed.

    Thank you in advance.
