On or around 6/23/22 My condo Association hired this company to perform roof work on several units as well as *************. Invoice 5694 showed a total of 7 areas of our property that needed repair. The invoice totaled a little over $13k in work and included a one year added warrantee. The work was quickly completed however by April 18th we received complaints that the repairs had started to fail. This led to property damage, and mold. Over the next few weeks and months we attempted to contact ************************* ********************************************************* who did not respond to any emails. We also attempted to call him and we hung up on. We are taking this as a final attempt to repair our roof before taking further legal action.

Please Note That SCI has had a long-standing relationship repairing the units at Sailboat Point, We have always made attempts to go above and beyond  in all respects to provide the best service and built a solid relationship with Management . that being said ***** has all my phone #'s even my Cell # ! Now I do not know why the e-mails went to my spam folder, and after the last attempt to resolve the issue and not hearing back, We as a company could only be led to believe that the issue was resolved. Not until i received a notice in the mail was i aware of the continued leak, upon checking all the correspondence went to junk as I previously stated.

I am rejecting this response because we made numerous attempts to contact you via phone and email. Around late May 2023, we attempted to contact *************************, our representative with this company, to address our issues regarding unsatisfactory work and reoccurring leaks in the area that had been previously repaired by this company. We attempted to contact ***** by calling his phone ending in 4368 after our emails were not responded to. As previously mentioned in the response from this company, several emails were inadvertently sent to a spam folder. During one of the calls to *****, he hung up on us and would not address our concerns related to his company's work and warranty. It should be noted that we sent several emails on or around the following dates: 04-18-2023, 04-21-2023, and 04-26-2023 (this is the one ************************* responded to, stating he was working on it and that he was sorry it was taking so long) and then again on 05-17-2023 and 05-26-2023. So, which emails were in his junk file before or after his response?

On January 5, 2024, after this complaint was filed, an employee with this company showed up at our property unannounced and unrequested and attempted to see two previous leaks that we had to have another vendor address. The requested access to our clubhouse and unit 515 (unit 515 was never part of the complaint), unit 516 had previously been repaired by this vendor and then again by a second vendor. It should be noted that Southern Certified has been our primary vendor for roof repairs since 2015, and we have paid invoices totaling $116,432.00 in work performed by them. A majority of that work was completed satisfactorily; however, the last two leaks (clubhouse and 516) were not. Because of the response from ***** (or, in some cases, lack of it), we have chosen a different provider.

We continue to request a refund of $ ******** for unsatisfactory work and a warranty that was not honored by this company.
    Sincerely,

Hello - I have attempted to speak with the company as well however I was not successful. As an appointed member of the associations board of directors I have been given the authority to with with the BBB and the company in an attempt to mediate this situation and seek financial compensation as a last ditch attempt before pursuing other avenues.

    Hope this clarifies your question.

    Best,
    Cory

We have attempted to resolve this issue and have made a follow up trip to the location, We are willing to try and remedy the situation as it stands. We were unable to gain access to the unit when we were onsite, and will attempt to gain access again a Work Order has been created Again for repairs to be completed at no additional costs ( at originally repaired areas) *************** and management company know that the flashings at all units / building roof to wall have been compromised and has caused severe damage to the roof system. We have offered to re-roof even just 1 building at a time and they declined (due to finances) which we completely understand in the current state of the economy .

If the reach out and tell us when the unit owner will be home we will address the repairs at that time.

    Thank you

I am rejecting this response because: we no longer trust or want this company on our property. It was completely uncalled for when you sent a worker to our property after months of no contact. What was expected by this action? Did you believe that after months of no contact that we would open our doors or our residents doors and accept your offer of service? We are willing to settle this matter and move on for $4,290.00 as this is what we had to pay our current vendor to repair the work that was not repaired correctly the first time by you.

At this time, we are not interested in receiving any workmanship done by this company.

    Sincerely,
