In June of 2024 I signed on with ProTechs to have a FULL generator set up with propane. I was told all of this would be done by the end of August 2024 turn key ready. I paid the $7,250 for them to start the process. Between this time I was constantly calling and texting and getting no answers or responses. It is now the middle of March ***************************************************************************************** as to why I still don't have a running generator. This place refuses to do anything just blames it all on the consumer or the propane company for going bankrupt. I now have a lien against my property as Protechs did not pay the subcontractor for the generator they purchased from them and just placed in my yard with no way to run it. The company is not doing anything to rectify the lien for nonpayment or that they still have not completed the work.Business Response

We are sorry to hear you view your project this way. We have responded to all your communications and are currently working hard to complete your final inspection as per the last discussion with you on last Thursday. This generator has been installed and complete minus gas company connections for quite some time and the ******** contract you completed month ago with no response on time frame or gas connection was due to an unfortunate failure to communicate and complete installations once an account was made through ******** for many of their customers in the area. we have been diligently working through this disappointing change in their ability to respond to customers and fulfil installation commitments on top of the Hurricane aftermath that is affecting most companies and residents in our area we are working to meet your requests for cash discount and want nothing more to have the final outcome you will be pleased with.Customer Answer

I am rejecting this response because:Communication was nonexistent and still is as ProTechs will not come to a conclusion on the amount of a refund. The generator was paid by me not ProTechs as they dod not pay for the generator and the distributor placed a lien on my house for almost $6,000. Contract was to start in June 2024 and completed by August 2024 making this before the time frame of the hurricanes spoke of. I told Protchs Amerigas was coming out after I called and paid them because ProTechs told me over a dozen times that they can't hook up my propane because Amerigas went bankrupt. Therefore nor being able to complete their job. We have discussed a refund for weeks now and I am left with them saying they will figure something out for the refund and then they go silent until I communicate with them. I did not pay Prptechs $7250 for a wall panel.
Sincerely,

We understand your frustration and are working diligently to make you happy. our records show you have all components installed including the foundation pad all wiring and underground as well as auto transfer unit and 22kw generator in working condition when gas is connected all of this work has considerable expense and far exceeds a wall box. Our records also show immediate response to all your requests we are struggling to work through the aftermath of the last three storms and the changing work environment and hope to meet any of your reasonable demands as we have continued to work towards.Customer Answer

I am rejecting this response because:I have been asking for a refund from ProTechs Energy LLC for well over a month after I had to keep getting ahold of them every single day to try to figure out a number that we both agree on. Finally after over a month they want me to sign a promissory note for them to pay me in multiple payments. I still have not gotten the documents for a promissory note as of 4/15/2025 when I was told I would have it by 4/14/2025. I was told a refund and decision would be made by 3/21/2025 and still nothing as of 4/15/2025. I also have not received any documents to look at. I also told them I do not feel comfortable doing promissory notes as they have already stated to me that they were in the middle of selling when I made a complaint to the BBB. They say that I ruined their name and company by going to the BBB so it would make it hard to sell now. This would make it even harder to hold them accountable for the promissory note if they are in the middle of trying to sell their business. I would then have to spend more money to get a lawyer to enforce it. I let them know if they are going to do an actual refund I want it in one payment or it written out in different verbiage. Also the hurricanes and generator need to be put to the side. I was promised a completion date of 8/25/2024 and it is now 4/15/2025 and I only got a transfer panel from ProTechs Energy and a lien on my property that I must pay for the generator from Protechs distributor because Protechs did not pay them since 7/2024. Protechs is trying to say that the switch panel cost them $6,800 after I asked for a refund because of the lien. Which they had text me before that the switch panel is only roughly $1,000. The hurricane they keep speaking of was in 10/2024 which was 2 months after my scheduled completion date. If they didn't keep telling me that Amerigas went out of business (they did not) or just did something for $7,250. I had to pay for my own generator and propane because they didn't pay their bill from the generator distributor so I had to pay the lien for the generator and I paid and had Amerigas place a tank since Protechs kept telling me they went out of business and are going bankrupt so they cannot use them. They have been telling me that since 1/31/2025. I keep getting blamed by Protechs Energy for them not being able to finish their job nor show anything for it but a switch panel for $1,000 and a lien I paid ($6,000) for the generator they put in my yard and didn't pay for. I have now paid out $6,000 for the generator to the distributor, $7,250 to Protechs Energy to give me a fully hooked up generator with propane and a generator but all they could supply for me is the wall switch panel. I am tired of fighting for a refund I am owed for their lack of completing the job and not being able to even provide the generator for a generator hook up. They placed that on me with the lien for it from their distributor. They are not working with me to get any money back to me. They just lie and say they will do things and don't.
Sincerely,

On July ******, I agreed to a proposal for a ****** stand-by generator, pad, hot water tank and transfer panel from Pro-Techs Energy LLC. They also had an agreement with Suburban Propane in ********** for me to purchase a propane tank. They installed a hot water tank in my garage, removed the old tank and disposed of the 120 degree ***** water down my paver driveway into the street, staining both. They installed a concrete pad for the generator next to my house, It was done incorrectly and the Pro-Techs salesperson agreed to remove it and replace the lawn. After getting no replies for my questions to Pro-Tech Energy or Suburban Propane, I decided to cancel the project. I received $13,000.00 as a partial refund. It was agreed that I owed $2300.00 for the water tank and labor to install it, leaving $1440.00 owed to me. They had money issues so they left me a portable generator valued at $950.00 temporarily as collateral . That was on October 26, 2024 and I have left several messages and have received no response from anyone at Pro-Techs Energy. I just would like to receive my refund.Customer Answer
