The nature of the dispute is an uncompleted job for installation of an outdoor kitchen. We paid a deposit in amount of $5305 on August 26,2022. We were told in email that the job would take ***** weeks to start and 4 more weeks to finish; that means they should of started around December 9 and finished around January 6th. They didn't even start until January 11, 2023 and they still have NOT finished. It's been 30 weeks (7 months). We have paid a total of $14,425 thus far. On February 28th, the owner told me they would finish the following week but they have not returned to do anymore work, nor will he text me back or answer/return my phone calls. Terrible communication and missed deadline. Please contact me to complete this job ASAP. Attaching an email from ******* regarding the timeline.Initial Complaint

We signed a contract with ********************** Construction in March 2022 to build an outdoor kitchen. At the time of signing we provided a downpayment of more than 10%. There were two modifications to the contract, one on April 5, 2022 to add a fire pit table and the last modification on May 23, 2022 to add a wall, backsplash and vent hood. Beginning in March 2022, we requested a start date from Radio Construction on multiple occasions and finally asked to end the contract in or about August 2022. Mr. ********************** responded and advised that the work would begin with installation of the frame for the kitchen and the fire pit table on September 19, 2022. Since our experience with communication had not been good we were afraid the project would start and stop. Thus we asked that *** ********************** to provide dates for the the varies phases of the project, e.g. electrical, plumbing, install of appliances, etc.. We asked for these dates based on our experience with lack of communication and unwillingness to follow through. Mr. ********************** did not respond to our request for dates for the various stages of the project. His workers just showed up on September 19, 2022, approximately four months after the final modification on May 24, 2022. The outdoor kitchen frame and wall was completed but the fire pit table was not and is still incomplete. We paid in full for the fire pit table and provided a draw for the frame on September 20, 2022. We emailed *** ********************** on October 20, 2022 and asked for the date work would restart and a date work will be completed. We requested a response as soon as possible but no later than 5pm, Friday, October 21, 2022. We have not heard back from Mr. **********************.Initial Complaint

We initially agreed on working with Radil Construction on 4/18 of this year and worked exclusively with the Sales Rep until August 31st. We had changes to our outdoor kitchen and on August 30th we had signed the last proposal and then could not get any start dates or a status of this expensive project. After several emails and phone messages we were notified by the owner that the Sales Rep was not working there anymore and we were never notified after trying to reach her for several weeks. This came from the owner who I did speak with on Wed 9/14 and he assured me he would get back to my that day or the next morning with a status update etc. The owner as never gotten back to me and it has been 9 days with several phone messages and emails that have never been answered. We did give Radil 2 down payments (4/18 $5,725.00 and 7/5 2,770.32) and the total cost of this outdoor kitchen is to be $26,447. This total unresponsiveness from the owner has us extremely worried about working with Radil and starting this very expensive outdoor kitchen with them. Again, 9 days and no communication is totally unacceptable and very worrisome. At this point we do not want to start the outdoor kitchen project and would like a refund of our 2 down payments totaling $8,495 and we will find another outdoor kitchen company. The project is for Rinella St in Venice Florida.Initial Complaint

We met with ********************************* and *********************************** several times regarding an outdoor patio/bar remodel. The contract was signed and sent along with a check for $9,222 (30% deposit) on 3/25/2022. The work was to begin in August/September, 2022. After many phone calls, and emails to both, the only response I got was on September 5, stating, I will let you know when I get back to the office. Many more emails and calls, to no avail. I finally contacted my contractor that recommended Radil and he got no response either. All I ask is for the deposit money back. And a poor rating on BBB.Initial Complaint

Engaged Radil Contraction to refurbish my outdoor kitchen in Q4 2021. We agreed on a price and we expected work to begin in early 2022. After many calls work started but then stopped for weeks and weeks. Contractor was extremely unresponsive and their phone mailbox was full. After several emails I was able to get to them via text. More work was completed. Work then stopped for weeks and weeks with no response. This has continued throughout the year. I just returned home to find the work not completed with hot electrical outlets on the floor inside the kitchen. Wires disconnected and the contractor has been unresponsive.Initial Complaint

We are contracted to have our outdoor kitchen replaced
The contract was signed in February of this year
As per contract we made a upfront payment and had a start date of June 1
Radil started in June removing the old kitchen and installing the cabinet base
I was contacted by Radil and they requested the next installment of funds as per contract
This payment was for the countertop company to come and make a template
One month passed and I had one email conversation with the owner who assured me he was waiting for the countertop folks to due the template
2 more weeks passed and I called the countertop company and was told they were not directed to make the template from Radil
I have tried leaving voice/email message's with no answers
No communication is completely unprofessional and makes me believe that Radil just took the 2 installment with no intention of completing my projectBusiness Response
