    OK so here goes, I rented a home in Windmark Beach for the Labor Day weekend through New Wave. The week before the rental while Hurricane Idalia was spinning up in the southern gulf I contacted Brittney Hulsey via email asking what the options were in case of direct storm impacts in our area. She simply replied "Do you have trip insurance?" which I didn't, or so I thought. Her next reply was basically sorry for your bad luck, which meant I was out my 1200.00, not happy about it but lesson learned. Fast forward a week, the hurricane did in fact directly impact my home and property leaving me with no power and trees down everywhere. So as i got my welcome to your rental text I decided to reach out to her one more time to see if there was any way that we could working something out for me to simply move my date to another available weekend. She reluctantly agreed contingent on me cancelling the reservation through ***** note all of this was midday Friday of the start of my rental just two days removed from the hurricane. With no option to cancel through ***** Brittney, myself, and **** customer support joined a call to get some help with the issue. **** says they can't initiate the cancellation over the phone only I could do that via the app, again no option to do so. I was informed by **** that I did have insurance and to file a claim, not true. I did what both Brittney and **** instructed me to do and thought we were good to go, NOPE. I received and email Monday night from Brittney saying no cancellation received, no bueno on moving your dates and that she had no option but to disperse the funds to the property owner. Is money worth her reputation? I feel like there was little to no effort to really help me out and I would caution any one looking to New Wave Property for rentals or property management to be very careful dealing with them, specifically Brittney Hulsey because obviously she is all about the money and customer service comes in a distant second!!!

    I have used New Wave for the last 3 family vacations and have been pleasantly surprised that not only were my experiences great, they exceeded my expectations. We will definitely use them for our furure trips!
