    I request service fro AMTEK AIR CONDITION on my AC unit december 4, 2024 which they replace a little over 2 years ago for the same problem that cost me almost $7,000.00. I infromed the service **** that AC was not cooling. he checked and told me the vacum was depleted and I have to replace the evaporation coil. He informed me that part normally cost $2,485.00 and he would give me a 10% discount on the part and the final cost would be $1,985.00. The service **** informed to call the manufacture (Rheem) and they will give me a refund on the part. Well I called the manufacture(Rheem) Monday December 9, 2024 and they told me the part has a 10 year warranty on the part that expire July *******. They advice me that AMTEK should have return the part to the distributor for a full refund on the part and the manufactor(Rheem) would refund the distributor in full. Rheem informed me AMTEK should have given me a breakdown of the work(part, freon, and labor). I called AMTEK(*****) and she told me they do not give breakdown to their costumers and she hang up on me. Now I do not know where to turn. I am a senior citizen on a fixed income and do not need to be ripped off by AMTEK. I hope BBB can help me solve this issue. Thanks

    On December 4, 2024, Mr. ****** called us out for a $59 tuneup on a non-functioning unit. Unit was completely Out of refrigerant. We proceeded to diagnose his nonworking system and found the leak to be in the evaporator coil. The evaporator **** itself is under warranty by the manufacturer, HOWEVER the labor, refrigerant, filter dryer, r 11 flush, freight charge, warranty process fee etc. all the miscellaneous items that go into properly installing an evaporator coil is NOT covered by manufacturer

    mr. ****** originally called in demanding a breakdown so he could have the manufacturer cover the full cost of Repair? Ive never in my 40 years seen a manufacturer cover the repair cost Unless its within their HARD 90 day policy. Thats 90 days within Installation of system.

    Mr. ****** wants a breakdown of Repair

    14.5 pounds of Freon at $95 per pound comes to $1377.50

    Refrigerant filter dryer $67.50

    r 11 flush $150

    Labor $390

    Total $1985 Normally $2485

     $500 dollar discount was given to Mr ****** on this repair

    I called  AMTEK AIR CONDITION several time because the air condition unit was still not cooling the house. I talked to AMTEK AIR CONDITIONING  sevice andt they told me they would deliver the message to AMTEK AIR CONDITONING but they never returned my call. I called another contractor and they checked  and found out  there was no freon in the unit. They found a leak on a tube which they repaired and replacedit with  13 pounds of freon in the unit. It was determined chances  are there was nothing wrong with the coil and it could have been the leak on the hose that originally cuase the system not to work in the first place. The new contrator did not have the old coil so they were not completely sure if the coil failed. I will just count my losses but I will never use AMTEK AIR CONDITIONING and I hope other customer will find out ********************** deceptive practices.

    I received a quote for services and they stated I have to give a deposit at the time of the quote. I gave a $600. cash deposit. However, I recieved a second opinion and was told I do not need the quoted services. I have called MULTIPLE times and left messages with the receptionist. I have never received a call back and request that I receive my deposit back as the services were never provided.

    Management has spoken to customer in regards to her complaint. She was made aware that we have no problem giving her the full refund of her deposit back if she decides not go ahead with the job. She's deciding if she wants to do half the job now and half later or just recieve her deposit back. We are awaiting a call back
