Put an add on Next Door website. Someone to cut down and remove three trees from my back yard. Came to an agreement with this contractor for $900 with 1/2 up front 3/16/23. He came and removed part of one tree and then returned once on 4/16/23 and removed most of the first tree. He tried to renegotiate (switch and bait) the amount for the job but agreed to do the job as committed.

      Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.

      Sincerely,

      *******************************

**** Scoles response is not factual. He does agree to reimburse me the total amount which I agree with. Upon review of the documents I sent the BBB it is obvious that he did give an estimate before seeing the job. I advertised with pictures of the trees (about 30' Tall) That I need cut down and removed and in the picture you can see my lanai which is about 25' from the trees and visible in the picture.  Before he started the job he went to that lanai and picked up and cashed a check on Mar 21, 2023 which was left for him on a table inside. The check was for ($450) 1/2 the total cost of the job. I never refused him viewing the job before doing the work. He didn't start the job for more than a couple weeks after the 21st.  After he started the job he did approach me, That he wanted more money.  I explained to him I received to other bids of $1050 and $1200 and gave it to the low bidder. He agreed to do the job at the agreed price, but I would talk to him after the job was done but there was only $150 between the bids.
