I had my car towed to this company's lot(a1 towing) by the **** and i was told it was 270$ to pick up the day i was speaking with the. And 50$ a day if i had to wait. Do to my own stiff i had to wait 2 days to get the car out. I expected to be told 370$ to get my car out and when i was told 430$ i questioned the lady in the office and she became irate. And basically yelling at me telling me i could pay the money wich i was only allowed to pay in cash or leave. After double down and questioning her again she opened her office door and bucked at me like she was going to try and fight me. I being a male and bigger than her didnt back away so she quickly closed the door again. I decided to pay because i had no other way to get my car. Another employee later was able to explain the price difference. But i looked at their reviews and tbis lady has been doing this to other people over the last couple of years. They sre definitely not operating their business professionaly at all.Business Response

This guy got pulled over for driving a car that was not registered in his name or was owned by him. He had to wait two days ago to the *** to get the title in his name to retrieve the vehicle. The prices are clearly stated on our wall and the prices are clearly stated on the floor is state website. He was with his mom or his grandma off the porch, telling her her mind her own business I am sure he surrounds himself with chaos wherever he goes clearly do the right thing and follow the law and you wouldnt be in this predicamentCustomer Answer

I am rejecting this response because: as you can see this company does not understand how to conduct them selves. They think they can just try to shame people. I had used my spare vehicle because i had somewhere important to be and my main car broke down. I didnt realize the registration had lapsed. Bessides that this isnt about them towing my vehicle it is about how they conduct them selves when questioned about their services. They dont feel that they should give you and explanation they just want to yell and scream at you. Also i have never been to any professional buisness that would allow and employe to try to fight a customer because they ssked about pricing. Absolutely unacceptable.
Sincerely,

On 3/18/24 my car was involved in an accident that totaled my car. A1 towing removed my vehicle and took it to their lot. On 3/19/24 I tried to have my car released to the insurance company. I called them as instructed by my insurance to release the vehicle verbally. I am disabled and I'm currently convalescing after surgery and the ******************************************** ******* their office staff was extremely rude on the phone but once I was able to get the necessary information from her and explain my situation, I was told I had to be there in person to sign documents. So I made the very difficult painful drive to the location, to have my paperwork thrown at me and told my vehicle had a 5-day hold try coming back in 5 days and slam the window in my face. I did call her a B**** derogatory comment at which point she ran out the door charging at me. I called the police department asking them to respond meeting me at a location remote to the area. When I returned with an officer they claimed I caused $500 damage to their freshly sealed pavement. I explained to the officer the situation that had unfolded how my tire tread **** had been left behind as a result of my fear for my safety when she charged at me in an assaulting manner. My insurance company requested the videos that they claim to hold. What was provided was a picture of a dirt pothole that doesn't represent a ********* in the least. When speaking with the police, they acknowledge no damage was done on the date they specify there is no damage that was noted that was made by myself. The police department has stated they know that this owner is trying to pull some "stuff" with me but unfortunately legally there's nothing he can do. He returned my call stating he made a face-to-face visit with staff at A1 towing but the owner would not make himself available. They continue to demand $500 payment or they will sell my car on day 21. Their photo "evidence" does not back their claims, but my video backs me.Business Response

Clearly, This person is not in the right state of mind being that she came in here and tried to turn my business into a circus. Everything is recorded and has a voice recognition on it. I provided three still images to show her lack of respect for other peoples property. when she was out cleaning her car, she didnt realize I was the owner of the place But anyway, the insurance company paid her claim and her property damage, so Im not sure what is left other than teacher her some respect at the age of ********************************************************************************* oursCustomer Answer

I am rejecting this response because: this does not show any damage done by myself. The officer responding to my call relayed the same message to this business owner. The Sheriff's Deputy responding to my call clearly stated that there were no damages done to his property and was "pulling some stuff". The owner got his $500 fees taken out of my collision claim by making false claims.
Sincerely,

obviously, theres no more to discuss because the insurance company Paid us for the damages So they clearly thought that we were in the right or they would have disputed it. I hope this satisfies everyone in the situation because there is no more to talk about.!Initial Complaint

On 6/27/2023 A-1 Towing was contacted for road side assistance. They came to my location and performed as expected by changing my tire. The road side assistance plan paid up to $100.00. A-1 towing charged $125.00. They discouraged receiving payment by credit card by charging a $10.00 fee for a $25.00 charge so I paid cash. I paid the driver $25.00 in cash and requested a receipt. He said he would have to call his office. He walked to his truck and stated to the person on the phone, "This guy wants a receipt". He came back to me and asked for my email address and that the office would send one.By the next business I still had not received the receipt so I called. The person who answered told me to send a text message requiring various demographics. I said to her that I shouldn't be required to jump through hoops to get a receipt. She terminated the call.Business Response

Everything we have at A1 is recorded all the time for complaints like this. The level of maturity of two people talking on the phone is mine blowing over something so simple. Clearly the email address that we had was not the right one is why you did not get the receipt if you would like to contact us, we will be sure to email you or text you a receipt when we have the proper informationCustomer Answer

Better Business Bureau:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me with the exception of undertones of sarcasm from the merchant.
Also the response was inaccurate. The receipt was sent to the original email that was provided when we placed the order for road service. So get it right next time- although there wont be a next time from this household. Good luck!
No further communication about this complaint is desired.
Sincerely,

We do not discriminate against anyone so the claims being made are untruthful. We also did not jerk the vehicle onto the tow truck. In addition the person filing the complaint is not the owner of the vehicle.Initial Complaint
