    I reached out to **** ***** owner of **** contracting in 9/2024 requesting him to come to my house to provide a quote for my floors. Mr ***** and his partner stopped out on 9/28 to look at floors and discussed what needed to be done as well as taking pictures and measurements. I had a sample plank that he also took pictures of. A quote was provided on 10/30/24 which requested 50% in order to start job so ******** sent link on 12/1124 to pay $750. On december 11 i received a text from Mr ***** that he was sending his guy and he was colombian and didnt speak english. He arrived at 8am and worked until 4:30pm only completing 25% of the job and he had to translate through his phone that he needed to get planks to complete the closet and the hallway. Mr ***** was made aware and said that he has to locate the planks. I received a text on 12/28 that he couldnt find the planks to match and was later sent a picture that was not even close to my current floors. I asked ******** why would he take a job if you didnt have the materials. I asked myr ***** to complete the job or return my money and he is not repsonding to calls text or letters

    I appreciate you taking the time to share your feedback regarding your experience with our company. However, I would like to clarify some important details related to your review.

    The day of the site visit for the estimate occurred on Saturday, September 28, 2024, and the estimate was subsequently sent on October 19, 2024, following the hurricanes ***** and ******. It wasn't until December that you contacted me to accept the estimate and make the 50% payment, even though the estimate specified its validity of only 30 days. You accepted the estimate which indicated that the cost was applicable only to labor, as the materials were already available on your property, as per the information you provided during the visit.

    I actively sought to assist you by identifying potential sources for the required materials during the same week of the estimate, reiterating that these materials were not included in the initial estimate, but you waited a long time to accept the estimate and that type of laminate was no longer available. My team proceeded with the work with the provided material, which was 75% completed, despite having only received a 50% payment.

    It is concerning that you urged your son to call me at 10 pm to threaten me, which understandably raises safety concerns for my employees. I prioritize their safety and well-being, and under these circumstances, I felt it was necessary to discontinue work at your residence without charging you the remaining 25% of the completed work.

    Contractors must absolutely love working with you! I've only heard the most glowing reviews from your neighbors about your utterly charming habit of stiffing them after theyve finished a job. It's just delightful how you manage to pull off these little tricks to get free services. Really, who wouldn't want to be around someone so skilled at taking advantage of hard work? Such admirable behaviortruly a shining example of generosity! This is beyond unacceptable!

    In my defense, I extended the agreed pricing for a longer duration and provided you with an extra 25% of the paid work at no additional cost. I believe this situation may not be the best fit for my services and recognize that there are factors beyond our control, including external circumstances and individual behaviors. Good luck!
