    Car accident happened in Oct 2022. JMT Body Shop Inc. (******************************************************************************* ************) had the vehicle 4 months since the day after the accident. The shop claimed the rear lift gate was on back order. This created a near 1.5 month delay. There were multiple promises and dates for the vehicle to be ready. The *************************** stoped paying for a rental after 52 days because this should have been a 14 day repair. They agreed to continue to pay with an invoice showing a delay that this shop was unable to produce. The ***************** also paid the shops $6k estimate for repaira check that the shop cashed.Over the 4 months, the Owner was always 1-3 days from finishing and at one point claimed that all that was remaining was to put the SORENTO letters back on- indicating the rear hatch had been repaired, but because of the delays I experienced, he had started to repair a dent unrelated to the accident on the passenger door, free of charge as a courtesy. This was a ploy to buy more time. After another month of delays and excuses and avoidance of my direct question of picking up my vehicle and taking it to another shop, I showed up at the shop to be told by the staff that they did not know where the vehicle was and they didnt not have a key. The promises and delays continued. Fast forward another month and the Owner said that all that was left was the paint to dry. He said that it would be delivering the vehicle that evening and they were removing the tape from painting and he was about to leave to drive to Port St Luciehe never showed up.The next day, I drove to the shop unannounced. Not a single repair had been completed for the money the insurance company paid. The vehicle was running when I arrived with an employee sanding the courtesy repair. When demanding the return of my vehicle, another employee turned the vehicle off and in broken English claimed they didnt know where the key was.
