      I hired Awning Stars (******* was the owner that came out to my home) to replace a fabric awning off of my master bedroom balcony that I had in place for close to 30 years, He had his technician replace the awning with what was supposed to be the same fabric (Sunbrella) and of the identical quality, with a 5 year warranty. At the 4 year **** the awning had torn completely off. Mine is the only awning in the community to have damage to their awning. We are 2 seniors living in this home alone, nobody touches the awning. I had *********************** out to the house & showed him the problem, he said he'd have his technician come back to evaluate what needs to be done to repair or replace it. He said that I might be responsible for the labor cost, which I totally understand, however, it's been 3 months and no one has come to check out the problem when my wife or I am home, I have called and left a message on 2 occasions, but, no one has returned my calls. My wife or I can be home to allow the tech access to my balcony almost every morning or early evening. I am disappointed that the quality of this awning is inferior to the original awning of 30 years, also, I would expect this company to stand behind their products, and to at least be responsive to their customers.

      We recovered ********************** Awning over 4 years ago. We guarantee our installations for 1 year. The manufacturer warrantees the fabric against fading, cracking, and mildew (pro-rated) for a period of 10 years (none of which are part of his complaint). Upon inspection of the awning cover it was evident that wind and weather had affected the awning and tore it apart. We have had many storms with wind and rain as well as a few hurricanes in the past 4 years.  We cannot be responsible for "acts of God." 

      Although we admit no wrong doing or provide any applied warrantees 4 years later, We will provide a new cover as ****************** requests with him providing payment for labor as he offered.

      We will provide a current estimate for the job and send it to him. We will not be able to provide our services until January of **** as we are in the middle of 2 large commercial jobs providing awnings for a nursing home and a flea market.
