    I discovered a rat infestation in my storage unit and noticed feces and urine all over several personal items. I also noticed that several items had been chewed and destroyed by the rats. I brought this to the attention of General Manager, Gabe Pitman, who promised to fix the issue and cover $100 towards my rent the following month. The next month, all he did was lay out a few traps and sweep up a little feces from the floor. He left holes in the ceiling where the rats were entering, he did not disinfect any of my personal belongings, he did not spray any deterrent and left feces on many items. He also went back on his word and only covered $35 towards my rent when he originally promised me $100. Mind you, I pay $195 per month + $35 for a trailer space. When I confronted Gabe Pitman, he told me to do everything myself and that if I didn't l like it, I could pack up my sh** and move out. Taken back by his unprofessionalism and lack of empathy, I asked to speak with the owners. He refused to give me their information and rudely hung up the phone on me. A few weeks later, I met up with a buyer looking to purchase my trailer. Once I finished, I then entered the office to tell Gabe that I sold the trailer and kindly requested a 50% refund since I had paid on the 15th and it was only the 1st of the month (15 days in). Once again, he rudely stated that he wasn't paying me sh** and proceeded to mock me, raise his voice and argue with me over the contract. I continued to stand my ground and then he asked me if I was on any medication, had a mental disorder or was taking any drugs, all because I wanted him to "DO THE RIGHT THING" and treat his paying customers with dignity, empathy and respect. He then got up and proceeded to kick me out of his office, calling me an entitled little a**hole. Gabe needs to be removed from his duties as General Manager and AAA Self Storage is in direct violation of a health code regarding these rats.

    Consumer Response /* (3000, 11, 2022/08/10) */ As of August 1st, 2022, I have not gotten any response from Gabe or the owners of AAA Self Storage. My items are still located at this facility and I am continuing to pay on time. I would like this issue to be resolved soon. I shouldn't have to inconvenience myself or my family and have to move out just because of a rat infestation. This is a health hazard that not only affects me but other tenants as well and should be handled by the landlord/owner.
