I would recommend calling ANYONE BUT Yankee Clipper for your irrigation needs in the ***********************. The owner is rude and a *****. They managed to lose an entire zone in my back yard when they were called to remove and cap the existing sprinklers with in the work zone. When they came back they couldn't find the appropriate line to reconnect the back zone costing me much more then originally planned. The owner uses "Hourly and material" as a estimate for everything which ultimately gives him ************************* to charge whatever he wants. My advice would be to get a REAL quote on exactly what you ask for! I used them a 2nd time once the landscaping was finished as everyone has a bad day and figured it would be better the 2nd time..... WORSE! They told me they were a month out and I agreed to wait but also had to hand water 20 trees and shrubs that were recently planted. When they came out, I was told that they would not be able to do the bubblers that day as the worker had a heart condition and couldn't work any more that day! The day that I waited an entire month to have done? Also, he couldn't give me an exact day or time they would return. Again, "BE patient" came out of owners mouth. I waited another 3 weeks before the owner himself came (Because I told him I would find someone else to finish the job if he didn't come out by that day) Also, he kept telling me that it's hard to find good labor that will work. I explained that was his problem not the clients! HE was very rude and contradicting. Long story short.... USE ANYONE BUT YANKEE CLIPPER IF YOU WANT TO GET THE *** DONE CORRECTLY, ON TIME AND FOR A REASONABLE PRICE. HE gave me a 20% discount both times but was far less than it should've been as the bill was padded and untrue. As a business owner myself I've always led with the customer is always right... THIS owner believes he is, and he will argue you till you get it. BAD CHARACTER, Can't believe he's still in business.

Excellent service for sprinkler system maintenance and repair. We tried two other companies over the past year and problems were never fixed or even diagnosed properly. Yankee Clipper came out and finally fixed all our issues and found a broken pipe that we didnt even know we had. I would highly recommend them to anyone. Very reliable !!

This company did sprinkler and sod installation work for me about four years ago. The sprinkler work was adequate. The sod installation was adequate although there was a problem with a small section bordering the walkway to my house. I notified ****************** and he told me he would replace the sod. When nothing happened after about a week, I notified him. When nothing happened after another week or two, I notified him again. He asked me to be patient. When nothing happened after another week or two, I notified him again. Guess what? He told me to be patient. Rinse, lather and repeat. The sod was never replaced. A couple of months ago, I called them and said I was not a bridge-burner and would like them to come by and check my sprinkler system and make any necessary adjustments. After scheduling me for an appointment about three weeks later, they called me and said they had a cancellation and would like to come by that same day. Thinking I was doing both of us a favor, I told them to go for it. They came by and spent about ***** minutes making adjustments and replacing some sprinkler heads. A few days later I received a bill for $457, which included a $45 trip charge. I asked them to remove the "trip charge." They refused and gave me "attitude" when we subsequently talked on the phone. I also asked them to lower a new sprinkler head that closely bordered my driveway and was several inches above ground level (the old sprinkler wasn't). They returned and fixed the problem. I was shocked when I received a new bill, charging me $68 for this "fix." When I complained, the removed the $68 from my revised billing. I ultimately paid them $457 for the work done within a month of the job's completion. I would have given them one star had they not removed the ridiculous $68 charge from my billing. I will not use them again. You should not either.

Hi ********************, I am aware that you are not happy with our pricing of the irrigation work we recently did for you. That is why we spoke and resolved the problem with a discount and holding payment for several weeks. 4 years ago, when you were not happy with our sod work, we installed free sod to replace what you did not like. When you went away on your vacation, it was left unattended and had more issues. As we all know, new sod has to be hand wattered daily for at least 2 weeks.

The "discount" was the removal of a charge you made for fixing a problem that you created. I'm not sure what you mean about "holding payment for several weeks." I told you I would pay my bill in full within 30 days. I told you I would pay you immediately (cash instead of credit card) if you removed the trip charge. You opted for the former. Four years ago we agreed on a price for sod installation and you (after careful measuring) discovered that you underestimated the amount of sod required. You had to purchase additional sod from your supplier to finish the job. To your credit, you did not attempt to charge me for the additional sod required. Four years later (according to you) this customer-focused decision turned into me receiving a "free pallet of sod." That's what you told me when we spoke on the phone. Finally, there was a small amount of sod adjacent to our front walkway that died, despite adequate watering. You told me it would be replaced. You asked me to be patient as you were waiting to use leftover sod from another installation. I thought this was a reasonable strategy. The only problem is, I'm still waiting.

******************, we have desperately tried to please you over the last 4 years, it is in your best interest to find another landscaping company to work for you. It is obvious that no matter what we do for you, discounts included, we can not please you. Good luck in your new endeavors.

Obviously we disagree on the facts surrounding this dispute and rehashing them will not change anything. Thanks for the suggestion to find another landscaping company. I had already made that decision and we are in agreement.
