    Signed up with the company December 2024 took a week to come out after reaching out twice being told a different date. Charged 202$ before service was rendered, came out did not complete the job no weed control was done. Company has not been back I have emailed and called. Now I have been charged again 202$ and no one still has been out to service my yard.

    On 4/26/24 I signed a proposal with Lawn Care of St. Johns for lawn maintenance services.I was charged $149.00 up front for a month. Per the proposal (attached), mowing, shrub care, and weeding of beds was to be included WEEKLY.

    On May 3rd my yard was done for the first time. I then emailed asking if going forward they could do straighter bed lines and weed the beds. His response on May 3rd was: Yes I will put it in the notes.  

    My yard was done for a second time on May 14th and although given the opportunity to correct themselves, this service was worse than the first time. I sent an email on May 14th with 5 pictures of the problems asking to cancel my service and asking for a refund of half the $149 payment already made for this month. On May 17th he responded: We don't pull weeds and we would like the opportunity to correct anything that you may find needs improvement. I will take this as your 30 day notice; to which I responded the same day: Please see below. It is all the communications we have had, everything is clearly documented.
    1. Your proposal clearly states “weeding will be performed on the beds.”
    2. Nowhere did I sign anything that states a 30 days cancellation notice is required.
    3. On May 3rd I emailed about the weeds, you did not respond to that email that you don’t do weeds.
    Therefore, as I said, you’ve done 2 services, exactly half of what I paid for. I do not want any further services. Please refund my card 74.50 and remove my house from your service list.
     
    On May 21st I emailed again asking for a response and refund. His response was that he wasn't sure what I was asking for a refund for. I clarified via email and have not yet received a response.

    I am asking for a refund of the two weeks remaining that services will not be provided. Half of the 149 paid, 74.50. They replied there is a 30 day notice to cancel, however that was not on the proposal and I never signed anything agreeing to that.

    * This complaint is being filed in fear that Lawn Care of Saint Johns will not live up to their commitment to repair damages they made to my neighbors’ fence while servicing my yard at *** ******** ******* ** ****** ** ***** 
    * This company was being paid $174.00 monthly for their recurring weekly service.

    * The company damaged my neighbor’s fence with their motorized lawn mower in August 2023. My neighbor notified me of this on 29 August 2023. (Document 1)

    * The company was notified of damages by me on 30 August 2023 to which they responded that they will, “fix it”. (Document 2)

    * After a month of no action, I put the company directly in contact with my neighbor. They told my neighbor they would fix the fence damages they made. (Document 3)

    * Months later, now 12 November (75 days), nothing has happened. I left a negative review of the company on ****** and sent a message directly to the company to try and get action on this damaged fence; as my neighbor is complaining to me. The company again said they would fix the fence (Document 4), but got hostile towards me and backtracked when they saw my two-star review (Document 5).

    * I simply want the company to repair the fence, refund the month of November 2023, and cancel my recurring service.

    The work was scheduled to be done. Apparently the customer wanted it done sooner so he complained. Unfortunately I was limited to the fence contractors schedule. The work has been completed and the customer has no further issues. Thank you.

    Please note, the company did not take action until I filed a complaint. Before the complaint I waited 3 months. After complaint, the issue was resolved in a week.

    I spoke with customer today. She hasn't received a refund because she disputed the charges after I told her I was going to mail her a check. We have since resolved the issue.
