    My AC was not working. (It still isn't). He came on 3/28 or around that date and examined the unit. He didn't provide a diagnosis of the problem then or ever. He never got back to me until I texted him a few days later to find out what was going on. I threatened to report him to the BBB. He said he didn't want to do business like this. It was not clear what he meant. He said the repair would cost x** and quoted a high number. I don't know what he said. He was talking very fast. He never put anything in writing. He said he had ordered the needed part and it was scheduled to arrived the following day and he would call me as soon as it arrived. he never called me back. I held off calling another AC company in reliance on his statements. I think maybe he was lying about having ordered the part.

    I performed a diagnostic service call and discovered the evaporater coil leaking. I informed the homeowner,  collected the diagnostic fee and proceeded to order the coil. I did not install the equipment and discovered the system was out of warranty and the repair would cost $2700.  I found a coil in ******, an hour and a half away from me and offered to go pick it up. The homeowner instructed me  to have it shipped and wait until Monday because it was so far away.

    I received a text message from the homeowner at 11:00 pm accusing me of lying to her to forget about the repair and do not respond.  I have the text message if anyone would like to see it. 

    I was not the first ac company to diagnose the system that week.
