Signed a contract for services which were not met and requested a refund as per agreement. Was attacked and gaslit that I was the problem although there is documentation to the contrary. I have screenshots of chat messages, text messages, emails, and copious notes.

I inquired about a mentorship program based on an ad on Facebook by Colin ******* stating that if you have 750 or better credit score that he can get you up to 250,000 in business funding based on the relationships that he has with several banks. After emails and texts communicating, we had a date set to do an interview (10-7-24). During that interview they were doing some fact gathering on my situation and business to see if I was a possible good fit for the program. This interview was done by Travis ********* and he asked me if I had $8000 to invest, and I said NO I don't! So, I was ready to end the call, however he suggested that I could use ****** and with my credit score being so good that I would not have to pay any upfront charges and when they get me the funding, I could just pay the ****** bill with the business funding. I then said if worst case scenario happens and I get denied funding will Colin give me a refund and he said yes, because Colin will want to protect his good reputation. So I signed up for ****** and when they ran my credit they had me pay $304.00 up front with monthly charges of $204.00. I agreed to do this based on I would get the funding with Colin bank connections and mentorship. After this I never spoke or saw Travis again and they assigned me a coach named Trevor who turned out to be very rude. They didn't like communicating with me through zoom calls or phone calls they wanted me to use a slack channel to communicate, and they instructed me to get my credit report from a company called Quest that charges $50 and a monthly subscription. They also set up a meeting at *** bank and instructed me to open up a checking account and deposit $2000, and they already gave the bank manager some bullet points based on my business revenue with was not true in accurate. I then applied for a business credit card at *** bank and got denied. I still have a $4500 balance with ****** and haven't got anything from Freedom Funders and cannot contact them.

I saw an advertisement on Tik Tok for business funding with this company . I explained to the sales person that I had recently obtained $240,000 in business funding. i paid $7800 in advance for their service to help obtain additional funding; The receipt states "Guarantees minimum $100k in approvals." i received an email after they had cinfirmed that I had already obtained funding on May 15,2004 that "lenders view over $100,000 personal credit as too risky for business funding". The email of May 18, 2004 "Likely outcome is refunding Ray if no viable outcome as his credit profile is too risky currently", I have no spouse nor business partner to get additional funding as an option.
i was informed by Trevor that I would receive my refund by telepone but as of this date have failed to receive my refund. I simply want my money back and hope that no one else is a victim of this company.

I've attached a copy of the receipt and email correspondence that documents the facts.

I paid $8,000 on 12/28/2024 to FreedomFunders.io (billed as Lifelong Learning LLC) for a “guaranteed 0% interest funding” service. I was told they would secure business capital through liquidation of credit cards using their processor — a method that violates card issuer terms and likely constitutes merchant fraud.

I was already very skeptical of this "service", but after ONE consultation and 2 weeks, I decided I do not want to utilize this, as multiple banks I contacted said it's against TOS. I asked for refund but they said I was required to apply for multiple cards and only offered a refund if I was denied by five banks — a condition never disclosed prior to payment.

I received no contract, no Terms of Service, and no deliverables. Their entire service was operated via a Slack channel, which they later removed me from, ending access without refund. They refused my refund request and pointed to a policy I never saw.

I disputed the charge with Capital One, who declined the case based only on the company saying “no cancellation was shown.” This company continues to mislead customers while offering illegal funding tactics. I believe this is a consumer fraud case worthy of regulatory action.?

This business took a deposit from me of $4000. They said I qualified for their program when I clearly did not as I didn't have a qualifying credit score. They gave me the option of a refund but never processed it. I'd like to get back my $4000 for never receiving this company's service. They go by the name freedom funders & collected my money via a DBA named lifelong learning.
