      I hired Christian Tobin Ruckert the owner of Anchor and Thread to replace the flooring, all upholstery, add lighting, replace stereo and speakers in my pontoon boat in February 2020. I paid him in full $5600. He picked my on April 6, 2020 to start the restoration. 17 months later my boat still wasn’t completed. Over the 17 month period my husband and I kept it constant contact with Mr. Ruckert as to why it hadn’t been completed. It was one excuse after the other or false promises that it was almost ready. On September 17, 2022 we finally decided enough was enough and went to North of Defuniak Springs to pick up our boat. Once we arrived at the location of our boat which was NOT where it was originally taken to be started we noticed that our boat trailer no longer had taillights and the boat was in complete shambles. The only thing completed properly was the flooring. Mr. Ruckert sent me a text message on September 22, 2022 with options to make this right. I agreed to being refunded $3800 since the floors we done properly. He was also suppose to mail a box to me with my boat key, privacy curtain in which I paid an additional $50 for and the lighting that was never installed. On October 4, 2022 Mr. Ruckert call to apologize and set up a payment plan with me. He agreed to pay me $500 on October 18, 2022, an additional $1500 to be paid by the end of October 2022 and then the final payment of $1800 would be paid November 2022. Needless to say as of today November 16, 2022 no payments have been made nor has the box been mailed or received. I have reached out to Mr, Ruckert numerous time to rectify this and he constantly has one excuse after the other as to why the refund that he agree to hadn’t been paid and why the box hasn’t been mailed. The only way this is resolved with my refunding me the $3800 he agreed to and giving me the box.
