We called the company May 14th and as of today, June 24 we have not had the project worked on, 6 weeks and 3 days. They answer their company phone, but the response time is lengthy. May 21 a handyman came to our home, checked our home and took photos of the different projects requested. June 5 we received their approval of the proposal. We reviewed the proposal as we had notified the company we would need a few days to review their proposal with the individual project costs. We deleted a few projects and revised one project on the order because we purchased a project item, a drawer, ourselves from Home Depot and it needs to be altered shorter in length. This way the company doesn’t need to build a costly drawer, as they stayed in the proposal and will save us money too. June 12 the revised proposal from us was sent to Mr. Handyman. We deleted a few projects, as we did the projects ourselves because it took so long for Handyman to start the job since first call of May 14. As of today, June 24, the project revision, with some deletions had still not been approved. I called and asked questions on when will project be approved and begin. Chad repeated 3X how Matt, owner, needed to continually discuss each project again with a handyman, Andy, to figure it out. I then tried to interrupted Chad with no avail. Chad then gave a loud and firm response repeating for a 4th time the same discussion scenario. I waited and then said to Chad that we wanted to know if they intend to do the project or not since it’s been 6 weeks and 3 days since our request and no start date had been stated yet. I also stated that only one project had changes to discuss. 9 minutes later Chad texted and said at this point they will pass on the project. Now we are waiting on our $75.00 deposit. They replied by text today they will send us notice when Matt has completed the Visa charge.

Service quality from this company is variable depending on the handyman/woman. Okay for non-specialized repairs/installations but expensive. Customer service okay but expect to get the runaround when dealing with managerial.

We sent a refund for labor charges that were agreed upon. The original check did not make it to the homeowner through ***** We sent another refund check with a tracking number and it was received by the homeowner. There was a delay in sending the second check, but it has been received and resolved.

In mid-October 2022, I posted a request for drywall services on the Florida Better Business Bureau site. In the posting, I included photos of damage caused by Hurricane Ian to an 8 x 8 area of my great room ceiling. A sheet of drywall within the area was sagging on two sides. Mr. Handyman responded within several days with a quote of $1,700 to remove and replace the damaged drywall. Mr. Handyman set a date of 11/10/22 to repair the damage. When a technician arrived on that date, she surveyed the ceiling and told us it would be unsafe for her to try to remove the drywall by herself. After consulting with her office, she told us that Mr. Handyman would send us a revised estimate which would be higher than the original. She then left. Six days later, after not hearing from Mr. Handyman, I posted on the Better Business Bureau site a second request for drywall services. The next day, I received a phone call from Mr. Handyman responding to my second request. The person I spoke to was unaware of my original request. After I informed her of the original request and the technician’s visit, she said she would send us the new estimate as promised. The new Mr. Handyman estimate she sent was $3,300, which included an additional $75 for materials. Someone other than Mr. Handyman will be fixing my ceiling.
