I purchased a home with a safe with no combination. An internet search of the top 10 safe locksmiths in ******** led me to contact A Plus Lock and Safe at ************ and spoke to the owner ***. We discussed my situation and I advised him that I had removed the safe from my office to my garage and I was able to get an endoscope I had purchased and take a video of the back of the lock mechanism showing the tumblers. He had asked for me to forward the video which I sent to ********************* for him to see and do some research, this was on 12-19-24 and later that day he called and said he could get it open but needed to see it because he never worked on a ****** safe but after conferring with people in an organization he belongs to it shouldnt be a problem. It will also be a one time charge of $125.00 to come out and see the safe but additional visits if needed were included unless parts were required. On Sat ***** he arrived at my home to see the safe and what I assumed would be an attempt to open it. He told me he forgot his scope and asked to use mine to see inside the safe. After giving my safe an internal, he stated that he would like to discuss with some people in these organizations he is affiliated with to get more info on ****** safes. He requested $125.00 for his 15 minutes of looking and his 1 hour of talking about fishing and showing me pics of other safes he had opened. Upon him leaving I took a photo of his vans plate (enclosed) which was a Fla non commercial plate.Since that day I have sent him numerous emails and 11 phone calls with no response at all. After 34 years in law enforcement I kinda pride myself of being able to spot a scam, I definitely got beat by this creep.

First of all I told him the price over the phone before coming out and he agreed to it. He got this safe  already used  locked with no combination , he had been  trying to open safe before I got  there, I looked at the safe made some suggestions on what to do , I told him I had to get more info on the bolt location and the dial , he said ok. He didnt say he went on vacation up north for two weeks after that . He used a whole saw and made a giant hole in the bottom of the safe , he sent me pictures of  the bottom of the safe with the big hole he made. I told him even with that hole  the back cover would have to come off inside to get the cover off you have to he 4 screws out without seeing them . It would have taken a lot of time and no guarantee it would work , I told him that several times     .by the way I was very nice to him as I am to all my customers , he wouldnt stop talking and listen. The 125 service call is very low for a safe job normally 185, and I was there 45 minutes, and my license plate is registered for 35 years with state of *******.

I am rejecting this response because:

after 6 emails and 11 phone calls to schedule an appointment to open this safe, post his research, I never got the courtesy of an answer to an email or a phone call stating he is either incapable of opening the safe or not interested in the job. Hes just a scam.

    Sincerely,
