The surgery Booked by Mr. Allen was scheduled verbally with receptionist for 8/22 ( Not 8/15) and this date was  repeated multiple times at different appointments, including when he showed up for his EKG appointment. He did not question the appointment date when discussed during those times. He additionally received a text which confirmed his post op day 1 appointment on 8/23.   The consent forms were signed  by him stating understanding about the date change and cancellation policies including the non refundable 10 % down payment,  cancellation fees, and rescheduling fees.

Written communication has been sent to resolve this matter with the consumer, awaiting his reply.

    Date: 08/14/2024

This response was taken verbally by the BBB: ******** and ***************************** came to my office for a consultation on **** * ****, patient came in presenting as a healthy looking *********** ******, no major health issues. Consultation for a mommy makeover, I did a very thorough history and physical, I let her know that the best results would be a breast lift augmentation and a tummy tuck with liposuction of her hips and flanks. Our financial policies when they want to book procedure, we explained the process. In order to hold surgery date, they had to pay deposit. They paid deposit and ******* ** **** ** *** at same day surgery center. We booked the surgery center for this 6 hour procedure.  We had also ordered her implants for the case as well.  Her lab orders were given to her a few different times, initial lab order given to her on **** *** and most recently on  We explained we needed them as soon as possible; she did not get them done until they resulted on **** got results on ********* which was 4 days before procedure. ** **** **** *** ***** **** * ** * ***** ***** ****** ******  When they are above normal it could be a sign of possible medical problems.  We do not do procedures if platelet levels are low, patients level was ** ***, normal range is *******. All these factors made it too risky to do surgery at that time, so I explained that her best bet is to reschedule to a much later date after she had seen a doctor regarding these tests.  I explained that those levels would have to be normal before surgery is done.  She said she understood at that time.  I also discussed with them our financial policies which were also on * documents signed, **** *** ***** There were fees that we did not charge to reschedule, we did not charge the ****** fee if you cancel.  They contacted us later in the fall which was ******** * that they had not seen any doctor regarding her liver issue. they also said that they were no longer planning on doing the mommy makeover and wanted their money back. We explained again the financial policy form and we sent copies of it via email on ********** ** *** to them. We discussed there was an email sent on ****** we were still discussing dates for surgery.  ***************************** started demanding the money back, ******* - refunded them **** ***** *** **** ** *** **** ******* ***** ** *** ******* ***** *** ******* which we did not have to according to our financial policies.  Since then ***** has continued to badger my office staff, he has been harassing my clinic showing up unannounced and making demands, making stalking phone calls from multiple different numbers to speak with someone, we made police report about his suspicious behavior, had to have my lawyer send him a letter via certified mail that he needs to cease and deists, we owe him no more money and already made our goodwill offer payment of ****** that we were not obligated to do.
