Dear Better Business Bureau,I am filing a formal complaint against Snap-on Tools due to deceptive sales practices by their representative, **** ********, and the companys failure to address my concerns. I am seeking immediate resolution, including the return of a toolbox and torque wrench with a zero balance. On March 12, 2025, **** visited my workplace and pressured me to trade in my Matco air hammer for a Snap-on version, which I declined. He then insisted I stop working and step onto his truck to see a toolbox he claimed was on special for $1,800. Knowing how expensive Snap-on toolboxes typically are, I was intrigued. Once on the truck, I inquired about torque wrenches, and he stated that if I purchased the toolbox, he would include a free torque wrench, merchandise, and more. After persistent pressure and upselling, he had me sign a small card swipe screen without disclosing it was a credit application. At no point did he explain financing terms, nor was I given a chance to read any documents before signing. I believed I was agreeing to the deal as verbally presented.Shortly after he left, I reviewed the paperwork and discovered undisclosed terms and financial obligations. Within an hour, I contacted him via text requesting an immediate return. He responded that he was on vacation for two weeks and ignored further attempts to reach him. When he returned, he refused to take back the items unless I paid a $1,000 restocking fee, despite the fact that they remain unused and unopened. I contacted ****-on customer service, but they have failed to provide a resolution.Requested Resolution:1.Retrieve the toolbox and torque wrench immediately.2.Remove all charges, ensuring a zero balance.3.Investigate the deceptive sales practices of this representative. This situation has caused unnecessary financial strain and loss of trust in Snap-on. If not resolved promptly, I am prepared to escalate further, including legal action.Sincerely, ***** *****
