    I took my car to mikes auto body on hwy 50 in *********** ** ((associated with the one on county line rd) I gave them my 500 deductible. The insurance company said they were going to total the car or I could find another body shop to fix it for the amount they paid me for. On July 28 I picked my car up from ****'s. The insurance company had paid all storage fees. I verified with the insurance company check was cashed. I have contacted mikes auto body every week for the last month the have not refunded my deposit. Is this a common practice with ****************? I need help or guidance please

    Upon review of the file the insurance company sent a check and we received the check 8/14/2023 we wait 10 days before refunding in the even the check does not clear our bank. On 8/24/2023 would have been the earliest date to write a refund check. Unfortunately I had a family emeregency out of state and was gone for almost 2 weeks. I am the owner and the perwon who would issue the refund. This information was not communicated to ******************. It was a private family emergency. Yesterday was the first day back in the office as well as the first day to issue checks. In fact prior to seeing this complaint I isssued a check to **************** for the $500.00 he was owed.I apologize that the check was not issued earlier but these were circumstances beyond my control. This matter has been resolved and the customer was informed his check is ready for pickup or mailing. Thank you ******************************;

    I brought my car to them for a repair. They destroyed my seat leather and refused to fix it. They should cover their employees damages, but they are trying to say after the fact they cant prove it was their staff.

     When customer was picking up their vehicle after repairs were complete they noticed there was a smudge on the inside of the drivers seat. We did not have any photos of that area from when vehicle was dropped off to show whether it was or was not there. We tried to remove it completely at that time but it still showed a little bit. They brought their car in and left it on a Saturday for a few hours so we could try and remove the smudge. We were able to remove the smudge but the customer now states that the integrity of the material is comprimised. I totally disagree and the reality is that the lion's share of the rest of the seat is cracked and discolored and is in need of replacing before we ever worked on the vehicle. We have removed the smudge from the area they have claimed we stained and can do no more at this time. At first they were asking for money and now they say they want a new seat. The better part of this seats life has been used up already, the car is 12 years old and has 106 thousand miles on it. I have attached a photo of before we cleaned it and 2 of after we cleaned it.
