    I am set to be laid off July 1st. This was announced to the company I work for by the *** in advance so we are aware. Today I spoke to a staff member to question if I can cancel or at least pause my membership. Until I regain employment. I was told no. I understand that I signed a contact but I have no control over losing my job which causes a lack of income. I wont have money so Anytime Fitness withdrawing money I dont have due to no fault of mine is borderline theft. I should be able to at least pause.

    I had a personal training contract with Anytime Fitness. I became injured and was told by my trainer that I was able to cancel the contract. Anytime Fitness then proceeded to debit my checking account, which I never authorized for them to debit for the personal training fees. Not only did they charge me one $90 fee but they did it 2x in one day. I am very upset by this since I am injured and not able to use this service. Also, my family is having money trouble which is making this even harder to deal with.

    The complainant is a member of the Cedar Lake IN club. Each Anytime Fitness is independently owned and operated and because she is not our member we cannot advise on her account or that individual clubs policies.

     

    She will have to work with that club directly and file any complaints with the proper governing body of that state.

    We are located in ******* and this complaint has nothing to do with our facility and ask that it be removed immediately

    While we understand the frustration this issue may have cause, this member is not a our home club Member. Their ******** is ********* **. and with every location individually owned and operated, they will have to take the complaint up with their home club, as we dont have access to the account information and couldn't help even if we wanted too.

    That said, is when an agreement is entered into, it is clear that the agreement is to be honored. It will be up to *************, to determine the best course of action in their club. In this case, this complaint does not pertain to this location and we ask that it be removed.
