We were in a tough situation in June of 2023 and decided to purchase a mobile home to place on family property. We entrusted AMHT to move the used home we purchased. Our initial communications with ***** were good and he was responsive until we paid him the down payment to move our home. He told us it could be moved within 1 week and the turned into 3 weeks. We were on vacation in July 3, 2023 when ***** called my husband to tell us the house that we were told was already moved had BROKEN on the side of the road and was unable to be transported to the storage lot where it was supposed to be only until we figured out our permitting issues. ***** hired one of his welding buddies to do work on the home without telling us and the guy was able to partially fix the frame and informed ***** the house needed to be moved up onto the road because it was in a small ditch off the side of the road in order for him to completely fix it. ***** decided to move the house even MORE and further damaged the frame on the home. He then called the welder a second time and the welder refused to work until he received payment, which ***** refused and then told him WE needed to pay to have the frame fixed. ***** went weeks without communicating and finally gave us the welder's number. Half of our house sat on the side of the road and could not be moved until AUGUST 25th, 2023. Nearly 2 months and almost got impounded due to the lack of communication on behalf of AMHT. Due to us not being able to get permits we have to sell the house which we have been unable to do because of the bent frame. The icing on the cake is that there are witnesses that have told us that ***** and his guys hooked the house up backwards and only used 2 out of 6 bolts needed to tow the house, which resulted in our perfectly fine house frame to bend and break in the first place. We now have to take a 26k loss on this home because ***** is lying, scheming business man that took advantage of two young adults.

I was in contact with customers about their home, I do have other customers that I have to do work for as well. I can not help that the frame under the home folded.  I referred **** to get the frame of the home welded together so we could get the home from point a to point b because we couldn't just leave it on the side of the road. **** fixed it the best he could  and the customer refused to pay him. The only reason they paid is  because the county said the home had to be moved or it would be impounded. We did not take the customers' money. The half  down was for separating the home and transporting. We cant help the home had underlying issues that we did not know about until the home was moved. The axles and tires would not make a home fold, **** told us that underneath the home the frame was not stable. That is an older home and some things cant be seen which is why you bought it and we tried to help transport it. We are no longer doing older houses due to things like this. It is easy to say someone ruined your house but there were issues with the home we were not aware of until it was transported. Many companies are refusing to take on older homes let alone transport because there are too many issues and risks with them.  Sorry, but this was not our fault.

September 28 2022 ******************* ******* and destroyed our home. January 2023 we began discussions with ***** at Home Nation to purchase a new home. ***** recommended that we use their favorite home-set-up company, AMHT, to do the work of building the pillars on which the new home would set and to tie down the home in place. ***** gave me the name of AMHTs contact person, *******************, to arrange for their services. In mid-January we paid half down for our new home to Home Nation. And we paid half down to AMHT. January 16th of 2023 we e-transferred $16,347.75 to the account of AMHT. After two months, ***** called me to let me know that they, AMHT, would not be able to set up our home ~$32K after all. ******* rules were more strict than the rest of Lee County. AMHT would still do $32K worth of setting after the engineer did their almost ~$60k of work, $91,000 totalnot ~$32K. We decided to accept the higher figure. ***** informed us in May 2023 that she could no longer do the set up for ~$91K. Now the total cost would be $150,000. So I called ***** at Home Nation and asked her for our money back. She and her boss were completely understanding and refunded the full amount. I then called ***** who now informed me that she no longer worked for AMHT, but worked instead for Home Nation. She gave me AMHT's owners name, ********************* in Spring Hill, I called ***** and he sounded very sincere and straightforward. He said that he would refund our full $16K minus about $3K in materiel costs (concrete block, rebar) that he could not otherwise use. After two more months, in July of 2023, we received a refund checkfor only $2,000. I called *****. He explained that he had only enough funds for this check, but would soon pay the rest of the refund. In October we received a second refund check from AMHT. It was, once again, for $2,000. Since then I cannot get *****, but have spoken once to Raini, his wife and co-owner. Now it is late December and still only $4,000 received.
